Carpenter has never played for us, and you want to put him on the field in our first game? Why the hate for Micah Johnson?

With all do respect to you we need a middle linebacker that can play in coverage in obvious passing situations. Carpenter can do this well so that is why he plays before Johnson. Johnson might be the real deal however I would rather have a player with some experience than one who is a rookie a totally raw with a very slow 40 time.

The ACTIVE/INACTIVE list for this week will be real interesting to see who actually dresses for this game.

I expect Roberto Wallace to be inactive. And probably the scrub guys we picked up from Cleveland and Seattle won't be active either. There has been talk of Nolan Carroll, but if he is a gunner on special teams he might play, but if they can find someone else to be the gunner then Carroll should be inactive because he can't play defense and gives us no value being on the 45.

But after that I really don't know who will and won't suit up. And I think there might be some surprises.

Wake and Misi have played well. Why wouldn't they be in on passing downs?

For those of you who were down on Carpenter he actually started the game in Buffalo and played pretty well. I told all of you that Carpenter just needed a change of scenery, and that he will help this ball club. I watched him he did not get run over or miss a tackle or blow a coverage not bad for only 1 week on the job.

I hope he keeps it up. Not sure if Dobbins is that much better...not saying he isn't but it would be nice to find a diamond in the rough...so to speak. He was a former 1st round pick and Crowder isn't coming back any time soon.

Again I liked the pick up, and agreed with Dansby on the other side, he can really be a multi threat.

Dansby makes everyone bring there A game, and he has the tools, just needed some mental confidence, and from the look of it he has it now, again another solid pick up that some on here.eye popping smiley

One was cut by the Rams the other all but given away for a late round pick in part of a package deal. Dobbins is probably a more solid player but neither are anything special. We do need Crowder back though at some point if we expect to make a serious run this year

At any rate...we are much better off with Dansby and (anyone) Carpenter or Dobbins than we were last year with Crowder and Ayodele. And I believe we had Ayodele and Torbor for three games.

So much for Bobby Carpenter being soft he met Adrian peterson in the hole at the 2 yard line and stood him up and waited for help from the calvary. The brass might of hit on a gem. It looked like to me that AP had clear sailing to the end zone not bad for a Dallas and St Louis cast off.

I think the brass pretty much knew what they were getting. He couldn't make it into the starting lineup for Dallas as a first round pick when the Tri was there but they obviously thought he was a good nickle/St's and filler guy that could give us an upgrade.

ILB's and MLB's usually don't take so long to develop if they are ever going to be starting caliber.

I think Jason Allen proves that the first round bust label is not permenant, and there's always hope. let's hope carpenter can, years later, live up to that first round draft billing.

Jason Allen has somewhat of an excuse...switching positions multiple times. I don't know too many ILB's that took 5 years to hit their stride. I could be wrong but I am not expecting much from him....and Jason Allen has had two games so the jury is still out.

I hope he has gained enough confidence to carry him through. He has the tools.

I would love for Carpenter to be our future next to Dansby as CC is too undependable but....we shall see...So far he hasn't even been able to supplant Dobbins for the 3rd LB spot. He got in the game because Dobbins got hurt on the k.o....he is now back to the bench unless he continues to excel in the nickle role.

Will see your obviously an inbred Jets fan whose not really a part of reality. You guys will leave landshark stadium 1-2 with a big hole to climb out of looking up at the undeafeated Miami Dolphins. You and your convict football team and fans need the to shut the hell up and recognize that your team is not very good.

Would love to see another LB arise ... would be nice to see the fins get someone back on the right track at low cost to the team ... not too impressed with crowder over the years

Lots of talk less action

Other than darsby and with the emergence of missi,,,,,Crowder is the best LB we have after them......

Crowders made some good plays even great plays ((( int of brady at end of game to clich win against pats ) but i agree he hasnt been consistent at times.

I think crowder will be even better now that darnsby and missi are on the team.

1.Darnby is just an allstar covers receivers out of the back field well....stops the run has a sack against the bills. this guy barrying injury is just destined to be in the pro bowl. He is that good. I didnt know him before.

2.Missi although overran some plays in preseason .rookie mistake))))
...he also made some good tackles and showed against the vicking..he has what is called brute force....went against a 350 OLman one on one and pushed him all the way back to the QB...He is really strong for his sized and he aint a small person either.

these are 2 keepers defenitelly.

Actually, I think grnbaby is MikeO. I find it suspicious how grnbaby mysteriously appeared and started fighting with people on the board as soon as MikeO was banned.

This post has taken a weird turn of events. We went from Bobby Carpenter to how we spell the names of players. Let's get back to Carpenter he is going to have to help out on Dustin Keller. I think he can get the job done along with Dansby.
