I like the versatility both Dansby and Crowder have. It gives us the option of shifting from a 3-4 to a 4-3 with either Dansby or Crowder moving to OLB and the 3-4 OLB (Wake/Anderson/JT) playing as a DE. It helps that Starks can play DT in a 4-3 or DE in a 3-4.
Yes our front 7 is shapping up very nicely. Flexible and young. I like our core of our front seven alot. Throw in a vet like JT and its a nice group minus the nose tackle position which I am sure we will address in the draft.
The Dolphins front 7 is the strength of our team currently. Few worries there now with the Dansby move. And hopefully getting a NT and OLB in the draft just adds to it

I don't know how much felxibility we have. Crowder proved that he is a below average OLB while Zach was here. And rushing the passer may be Crowder's biggest weakness. He's horrendous at it. In the 3-4, the OLBs need to be able to rush the passer. Crowder doesn't fit the bill at all. As for Dansby, his experience outside came in a 4-3. Moving him to OLB in a 3-4 would be asking him to do something he's never done before. It's silly to give a guy like that all that money and then ask him to play a new position.

I don't think anyone suggested moving Crowder to a 3-4 OLB. Mike and I were discussing lining up in a 4-3. Crowder's played OLB in a 4-3 and ILB in a 3-4. So has Dansby. Being able to play our OLB on the line of scrimmage and, basically, shift from a 3-4 to a 4-3, gives us flexibility.

We don't have the DE to play a 4-3. And Crower was lousy in a 4-3. And we have no one to play the Mike in a 4-3.
