If Denver takes mcClain

sign Dumerville away from them

take Jahvid Best the next Chris Johnson.(the 3 back rotating backfield is gaining popularity)

Get Spikes or Norwood in the 2nd.

Move Ginn for Nate Bureleson(rumor has them going after Marshall)

Sign Tony Scheffler

Watch for Demarco Murray in later rounds

We might be able to get Norwood, Angerer or Muckleroy in the third and take Golden tate or mardy Gilyard in the second or go Gerhart or Dwyer and take Derrick Morgan or Everson Griffen round 1

If we cant move up and McCLAIN is gone, we have a ton of options depending on the board.

OPTION
#1 is start crying about loosing McClain (the #1 ILcool smiley sad smiley
#2 EARL THOMAS FS TEX - I am cool with this but NOT psyched
#3 CJ SPILLER RB is on the board, take him or we could trade down
#4 DEZ BRYANT WR #1 WR
#5 JERRY HUGHES DE/OLB #1 OLB will not make it to us in 2nd
#6 NT WILLIAMS or CODY

If JAX is really going to take TEBONE then they dont have to worry about him being on the board mid-round. They would make a great trading partner if MCCLAIN is there. Then we wont have to sweat out the DENVER selection.

According to Mayock Cody at DT is a better fit for a 4-3 team.

He also said Tebow won't go in Rd 1. Even to Jax.

If we pick Best at #12, I will throw up and never watch a Dolphins game again. Why would we pick him at #12 when he has a chance to fall to us in the second round? Picking Best that high would be one of the worst draft picks in the history of the NFL.

But you're right about NE, they are going to choose thrice in the 2nd. So we should DRAFT the positions and players we need early.

These guys get paid to make such talent evaluation decisions, and we haven't did well in a long time in finding star level players. Henne could be a good find, only time will tell

We have a RB in his last year and another coming off his second season ending injury. Go get Dumerville & a top WR via FA or trade. At this time Cobbs & Hilliard look like backups at best. Cobbs may not even recover fully.

But Chris Johnson was picked at #24 and not 12. BIG FREAKIN DIFFERENCE!

Plus, alot of people had heard of Chris Johnson. He was a good recruit coming out and then when you run a 4.24 forty yard dash at the combine that also helps out as well.

Looking back he should have been top 10. Probabgly the #1 pick in a lot of fantasy drafts next year

People knew of Chris Johnson at East Carolina. Please, that is a huge mis-statement saying nobody heard of him or only die-hards knew him until the combine.

That's a flat out lie

It depends on how you classify a "small" school. Is FIU a small school? They're division 1A and have an enrollment of, I think, around 60K students (or more). They're also in a big market (Miami). On the other hand, if they had an NFL prospect, they wouldn't be getting that much press. How many people know about FIU's football program?

Any school in CONF-USA isn't a small school. Period.

Cincinnati was in CONF-USA just a few years back, hardly anyone would call them a small school.

Chris Johnson was a stud at ECU. If you didnt know who Chris Johnson was when he was in college it was your fault then and not his...he put up *HUGE* numbers for 4 years.

I have to agree he and kevin Smith weren't well known until the combine only to scouts, people familiar with the schools, or die hard fans. Small schools from a football perspective.

A&O you say he was a stud & knew his talent but wouldnt draft him above Jonathan Stewert at 13 who had foot injury issues? I think the teams the cowboys & steelers & jags who took runnning backs ahead of him and others with no running game that didn't have to say they missed hoping he would left to round two

If there is no new CBA, then Dumervil is a restricted free agent, and to sign him, we'd have to give up at least our first round pick. If they do agree to a new CBA, then Dumervil would be a prime candidate for Denver's franchise tag, meaning we'd have to give up two first round picks to sign him. No matter what, we wouldn't have a first round pick if we signed Dumervil.

According to profootballfocus.com, Nate Burleson was the 59th best WR in the league this year (Hartline was #38 and Camarillo was #41). His 7 drops were enough to rank in the top 16 of that category.

Why do you keep bringing Best into this argument? Nobody is knocking the kid.

If you think East Carolina is a small school you clearly don't know what your talking about from the get go.

Chris Johnson was known around the country his time in college, just because you didn't hear of him doesn't change the fact he made big plays at big times and put up big numbers.
