Big NT (Terrence Cody,Dan Willaims?
Wide Reciever FA
Running back (Toby Gerhart! Joe McKight)
Line Backer (Spikes, McClain, Pawelek)
TE (Tony Scheffler? Ben Watson?)
WR Free agents
Brandon Marshall (could take Chad and the Dolphins to another level)
Steve Breaston
Braylon Edwards
Lee Evans
T.O.
Vincent Jackson
Kevin Walter
Jason Avant
Don't forget the issue with the current CBA. If they don't negotiate a new CBA, and 2010 is an uncapped year, then players will need 6 years of service to be eligible for free agency. As it stands today, Marshall, Breaston, Edwards, Avant, and Jackson would not be free agents.
My dream off season
Adding Marshall,Cody & Gerhart and a get a sleeper LB in later rounds
I have seen Toby play since he was a teen and he is the real deal, leading rusher in CA high school history 3rd all time I believe. More than Emmitt Smith and many other pro stars.
My nightmare is he goes to the Pats
Sophomore Jeff Fuller of A&M looked like a big time receiver last night aganst Texas.
Best and Spiller may be better athletes, and can break the long one but guys like this and Brian Westbrook just get injured too much. We have to have concerns with Ronnie breaking down, this is what his second or third season ending injury, and Ricky may have one year left. Get a guy that is durable and a quick scat back alternative in later rounds or via FA.
We also have to be concerned the Pats still have several picks from trades I believe and will likely retool the backfield and defense.
No just me. There are plenty of players on the board that would look nice in aqua and orange. Who knows what our RB situation will be in 2010, why not add a GAME BREAKER?
TERRENCE CODY is a terrific option mid 1st round, depending on his performance to close out the season against formidable opposition-I think he'll jump up the board RAJIstyle and be outta reach though.. McClain is of the board by mid-round IMHO

My choice Gerhart is a Heisman finalist and should win the award anyone else think that he can't help this team. Gerhart and our line would totally dominate most teams from a physical stand point. I would love for big #7 to wind up on the Phins as a replacement for injury prone Ronnie Brown.

I would literally cry tears of joy if by some granting of the football gods we got this kid. He's a total beast of a runner, and a lot faster than most people think. Check out his highlight clips on youtube, it's amazing some of the moves he makes being the size he is.
I think your absolutely wrong. I am from Clemson, SC. I have watched 99% of all of CJ Spillers games. I watched Lorenzo Booker too, from his freshamn year as well.
They are very different players. Not even close. Not even on the same page.
I can't even begin to think about the draft. Are you guys kidding, the draft, are we talking about the draft. We can talk till we are blue in the face but probably wont see any of those guys, being that we will have the very last first round pick! POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING, THIS YEAR!

Only the future will tell us who's right on this, just gotta wait it out
The RONNIE B injury sux because I hoped this off-season would be about finding a #1 receiver, a NT, and a couple young OLB. And now we have to put alot of emphasis on the RB position. Good thing Ricky is signed. Hopefully we will retain the 'injury-prone' RONNIE B for less cash than if he was all-pro again.
I think Hilliard is the power back we need for the future. That's primarily the role Ronnie played. His running style is straight ahead power, not finesse. We still need a speed guy to replace Ricky, though.
Unfortunately, without Ronnie the Wildcat is pretty much dead.
I love to see our DRAFT # rising. Theres some terrific late 1st possibilties. This should be the draft where the PHINS trade up into the 2nd with some of our later choices.
