For those who could not wait for us to loose in 2008...
I could not believe how many dolphin fans wanted us to loose games last year and not make it to the playoffs saying "lets get better draft picks" "lets loose so that next year we will really be good"
morons!!! there is so much turn over in the in the league- ravens were 13-3 in 2006 and on top of the world just to go 6-10 the next year. Just because we went 11-5 dont mean the next year we will make a superbowl run we may not make the playoffs.
The moral of the story, you get it when it is their since you are not promises tomorrow. So to those who could not wait for us to loose and rooted for us to hurry up and lose in the playoffs welcome to 2009, this is what you wanted so stop complaining cause we are 0-2.
Re: For those who could not wait for us to loose in 2008...
Maybe we aren't 0-2 right now if we had been in a higher draft position and could have gotten a couple of better players than we got...not complaining about who we did get because I still think we did well...but just sayin.

Dolphan 4545, It dosent matter whether you think the expression is stupid or not...I used in my post and I don't need your approval for any thing I post. Also, I didn't complain, instead I simply made the point that we might not be 0-2 right now if we had gotten a couple of better players...but I am (in fact) pleased with who did get. It's pretty clear in my post what I meant.
Re: For those who could not wait for us to loose in 2008...
well the good thing is that we have not played any divisional games yet so we believe it or not we are still in better shape than the pats and bills who have 1 divisional loss, so we can make up ground quick with head to head match ups...
Re: For those who could not wait for us to loose in 2008...
Well i hope we do horrible this year to get the goodies, because there is no way we will make playoffs this year, not with the offense's we play. When we going to trade Porter to get a second round for? Thats right the coaching staff believe's Porter will be like last year, and ride him untill his contract is up, and get nothing for him. Duh i forgot.

Those who hope we lose to get a better draft position need to look at who Cam Cameron drafted at #9. The draft is NOT a guarantee.
Consider that in the last 2 drafts when we've taken 2 players at the same position, the later pick has outperformed the earlier one:
Merling/Langford (DE - Langford is a starter, Merling is 2nd string)
Murphy/Thomas (OG - Thomas is a starter, Murphy is 2nd string)
Turner/Hartline (WR - Hartline has seen quite a bit of playing time and may be starting soon if Camarillo doesn't fully recover from his injury, Turner has yet to see any)
Davis/Smith (CB - Smith is a starter, Davis is 2nd string)
JT was a 2nd rounder. Zach was a 5th rounder. John Avery and Yatil Green were first rounders!

Well, after our draft picks past two years, our Staff does a decent job picking. I hope we do win, but our team cannot stop the TE, and all the good teams we play this year, have solid TE's, who are going to continue to crush us, so i am no longer holding on hope that we will kick butt, yes i will keep the dream alive, but im just keeping reality n check now, and im fine with another lossing season, im used to it by now, it just hurts more after what happend last year. Lets face it anything can happen, i just dont have my hopes up anymore, they just crashed that party on monday.

Are you saying #9 wasn't a high pick? Are you saying we were correct in passing on Matt Ryan? My attitude is you win as much as you can and let the chips fall where they may on draft day. You have pretty much the same chance at drafting a future HoFer late in the first round as you are in the top 10!

I suppose you'd rather we had drafted Ken O'Brien or Todd Blackledge than Dan Marino. I don't see HoF material yet in Long, but we'll see. As for Henne, I haven't seen enough from him yet either.
I still don't understand how you want us to lose to roll the dice on some guy that may or may not be great.
