RIP Monte Clark
Date: September 17, 2009 11:01AM
Monte Clark was the Offensive Line Coach who assembled those legendary OLs in the early 1970s. He was a winner as an NFL player, as a member of one of the Browns' Championship teams. He continued to be a winner as a coach, developing the skills of Little, Kooch, Langer, et al.
This guy was instrumental in the success of the Dolphins during the 70s and my hat's off to him.
Monte's passing is particularly poignant and ironic in light of the current troubles our current offensive line is having. Hopefully our line will pull their act together for the remainder of the season, in tribute to the man who helped start it all for this team.
RIP Monte.
