With London cut.......Vonte Davis takes his spot on 1st team special teams unit. Big shoes to fill for Vonte as London was a top special teams player.
Also, being reported that Wilson and Bell might switch spots at Saftey. Wilson has been good awful in pass coverage and is being called the "next Wilford" inside dolphins headquarters as a big free agent Bust. Dolphins feel they have 3 free agent busts right now. Eric Green (who got cut), Wilson, and Jake Grove has also played poor thus far. Although they are hoping Grove and turn it around at some point and they haven't given up on Wilson yet but are close. Couple bad games and a secondary shake-up will occur.

MikeO,
Your post definitely implies that the Dolphins feel this way, but it is pure speculation on Omar's part. While the organization may feel this way, they have not said so publicly. Your post is very misleading.
my post TITLE about Vonte being moved to 1st team special teams is 100% accurate.
THe rest of the post is what Omar reported. Take it for what its worth. EVERY OPINION ON THIS MESSAGE BOARD IS SPECULATION!! That's the point of a message board, to share thoughts, opinions, and speculate!!
like you are breaking news talking about Brady Quinn's physique and Shawn Merriman. Like ESPN didn't report about Merriman first, and you got the scoop over Mort, Schefter, and Clayton. PLEASE!!

Just busting your chops. I'd say it's a good guess they aren't happy with the higher-priced players on our roster that are underperforming. When you have guys like Pennington, JT, and Ricky, it's tough to justify paying guys tons of money to do nothing.

Best free agent pickup of the year....Jason Taylor.
Grove will be fine if he can stay healthy. He just needs to get in a groove with the rest of the line.
Obviously the coaches think so or he would have been demoted to 2nd team or released. This regime is not afraid to admit they made a mistake. They showed that with Eric Green this year.
Lets see what he does against the inexperienced DT's of Atlanta.
are you guys on crack? they did not trade for grove. raiders cut him and we signed him. we traded satelle to the raiders for a picks--the deals were not connected. so grove was a free agent.
what do you mean "you guys"? One person said we traded for him. He was a FA. Raiders did not cut him either, they just did not resign him in his FA year.
you're right, it looks like jake was not cut but was just not resigned by oak.
waaay to early to call any player a bust after a pre-season, so the initial post suggesting that the team has already made that determination doesn't seem plausible
> He could be a monster on ST's but I have doubts that he will be risked on ST's when his future is so bright as a future CB.
Vonte really needs to get on the field.
Until he shows consistency in the secondary as a CB this is exactly where he will be. He has talent, but but hasn't demonstrated that the game has slowed down enough to apply his natural talent (still thinking, reacting to what he is learning) vs "having it"
I'm really hoping to see him mature quickly but worried that he may cost us early on with mental mistakes a CB.
It is kind of a catch 22, in that he needs to play to get better, but we need consistency with our schedule.
