Date: August 14, 2009 06:41PM Marshall University November, 14, 1970. You know what happened. With that said, Chad Pennington played in Marshall. Pennington returned to behind the center in 1997 as Marshall moved from Division 1-AA to Division 1-A football. His senior year (1999) featured Marshall having an undefeated and untied record (13-0) as Pennington led the team to its third consecutive Mid-American Conference championship! Im from WV and been to Marshall. Now i know why he plays with such passion. Oh yeah and Brady as the "Golden Boy." A 21-3 victory over Brigham Young, capping Pennington's undefeated senior season which earned Pennington the nickname "The Golden Boy." Edited 5 time(s).
