Great graphic, jim.

And I'd agree with everyone who says the writing is on the wall, this kid has talent, and he'll make some plays and not just take up space out there. At times he'll also be burned this year, for sure, he's only a rookie it's to be expected, but look just what he's accomplished so far, in such a short period of time!! He's all over the national sports news with that int.

Vonte is more physical, and also plays the run better, but Sean Smith has the size and ball skills to compete with premium WR's we'll be going up against. Can't wait to see more of this kid!

I, for one, am glad he converted to CB. CBs with his ability are RARE!

That INT is just sweet. Now I'm sorry I missed the game. No, the show isn't over yet...

I would not be surprised to see him play some WR next year or so.

Dion Sanders did it so, it's not out of the question.

I could see him going in on a goal line set. JT at TE, and Sean Smith at WR, Pat White at the other WR. Then we shift into the wild cat.

That would freak 'em out.

That's the future of NFL football. Making the defenses think more than they're comfortable with.

The kid is smart and knows defense and offense. He is a starting CB in the NFL after playing WR in college his red shirt freshmen year and only two years at CB. That says a lot about him.

I'm not saying we should do it now or even that we should do it. Just that after he dominates this season and shows he knows the defense, he could learn a handful of offensive plays for goaline situations. Not a big deal.

If Mike Vrabel can do it then so can SS.

Stop kissing the mediator's ass. Sure he has some good points, he usually does but you don't have to pucker up every time.

PF-2...absolutely he was a better CB than WR but he has also evolved. The guy is a tremendous athlete. That's all I'm sayin. He is the biggest, fastest rising talent we have drafted since JT and ZT.

I'm hoping to see real evidence when the season starts on Sean Smith, and just as importantly is performance of the whole secondary as a unit.

Game three was down right ugly and left me with concerns in the only game that teams actually game plan for in the pre-season.

Issues for me were:

1. Weak DB communications
2. Excessive time for opposing QB due to weak pass rush

I mention both because if the pressure isn't there then the coverage must be. The only thing that saved us was poor passing, and that won't be the case with better talent than Tampa had.
