Green and Smith have also both been burned at times by Ginn. It is early but that is what camp is for....to get better which they all will.

Word is that Green is getting better as well.

We may end up with 4 pretty darn good CB's.

is that his REAL twitter?? Because the Dolphins are one of the teams that have outlawed Twitter accounts for its players.

So I wonder if that is really his account or a fake

Eesti who doesn't get beat by ginn???

Especially one on one.....

And if its true what they say that he is learning to run better routes than last year.......The sky is the limit!!!!!!!!!!!!

About dontae and sean.....

Whats impressive about dontae is he is able to keep up with Ginn step by step. At least those were the reports. Some reporter said dontae is built like a bodybuilder and likes to hit.....God help the opposing WRs is he is lightning quick too..

Both him and smith will contribute to this team this year.

Whats good about all this is we have a lot of talented bodies to choose from at the cb position. At least thats what if seems like from what everybody is saying and all the reports from camp.

Whoever becomes the starter oppossite of will allen will do a good job.

Its a win win situation.

Are you calling him dontae on purpose as some sort of diss or inside joke, or is it just a typo you keep making?

I was wondering the same thing. I had to go back to the roster to make sure I wasn't hosing up Davis's name

Eesti who doesn't get beat by ginn???

Darelle Revis, 17 yards
Arizona, 9 yards
Texans, -1 yard
SF, 6 yards

I know what your saying though. I am betting that this year is a little different.

Camarillo was injured.................They game plan , double triple ginn and case closed...

One of the reasons bess was wide open all the time.

Im talking going 1 on 1 in practice.....Davis keeps up with ginn which is a great thing.

Its always a plus when you have a corner that you can just play against the other teams best and fastest receiver one on one. Hopefully dontae is that guy. Either dontae or smith.

I really like this kid. I saw his interview after the game and was impressed with his demeanor.

It has been reported that he is sort of cocky but that is not the impression I got. I would say confident, mature and respectful. I'm sure he get's into a little trash talking on the field but that is just a fun part of the game.

Hopefully Vontae can learn more from him and less from his brother.

QUOTE:You can usually get a pretty idea of how good they are going to be during camp.

Madison got his BUtt kicked all around the field by yatil green his rookie year. I remember his first practice i was there...

Madison was getting beat by some of the receivers in practice that year.

Everyone gets beat here and there in camp but madison was getting rave reviews from JJ early on and showed a knack for playing the ball.

Madison might have started from the first game of his rookie year, if not for a knee scope that limited him in training camp and kept him behind Calvin Jackson. - Ethan Skolnik Sun Sentinel

> If Smith continues as he is doing, Davis won't see a starters spot for a few years as Will Allen moves deeper into his 4 year extension.

Have to agree. I am glad to hear however that the Coaches have been working out both Smith and Davis at both corners. This is good for a lot of reasons.

1. Future view is that they'll eventually be starters, and are young.
2. If they want a match up between Smith and a taller receiver like Moss or TO. They could do it, no matter where they line them up.
3. Depth, flexibility for nicle dime, and injuries.

hey eesti, i think that you were the first person to mention something about looking out for sean smith (if not someone please correct me)... good call son, kid looks like the truth. My favorite dolphin by far is probably patrick surtain, i think he may get edged out if sean keeps playing like he is.

And i like his attitude, you can tell that he is a bit cocky/ extremely confident. But can you blame him, if he played for Ohio State, USC, FLorida or one of those top ranked schools no question he would have been a first round draft pick and maybe the #1 corner available but rather he fell cause he played for the utes... and what the hell is a ute? I would have a chip on my shoulder as well if so many teams past up on me when my team just finished an undefeated season.

You my friend are 100 percent correct!!!!!!!

Thats why i do not judge any of the rookies. Some take longer than others to develop.

I didn't judge players like lets say jason allen in his rookie year. He became what he is today. Too bad. It is what it is.

I want all of them to do well. It takes time for them to get into NFL game speed.

I still think vontae will start for this team sooner or later.

Vontae is quickly turning into a boom or bust player. Either the light will come on or he will just fade away like his brother is doing.

He has the talent no doubt. The problem is whether or not he wakes up and figures out that talent and physical ability are not enough and that you have to put in overtime to be successful at this level.

Sean Smith is progressing because he knows the schemes and understands the defense.

The sooner VD grows up and stops acting like the golden child, the better of he and we will be.

Sean Smith is quickly making a name for himself and could be a nominee for rookie of the year.

Now THERE'S an argument for misspelling his name if I've ever seen one. Look at those initials!

Not much talk about our newest play maker. I love this kid. That interception was one of the best I've ever seen. It was effortless. All he does is make plays. Played in three games and has two interceptions.

Didn't someone say before the draft that he is the next Nnamdi? Oh yeah...that was me. jk

I don't want to go counting chickens but I'd say the writing is on the wall.

Should be interesting to see how he does against Roddy White, Reggie Wayne, Vincent Jackson, T.O and Moss.

I'm sure Will Allen will get his share of going against those guys but Smith may turn into our number one corner this year.

Remember when Randy Moss was in Minnesota and he was complaining for Donte to throw him the ball...His words were...Just throw it up there. Nobody can out-jump me, dang!

We will see how many jump balls SS can take away in the end zone this year.
