Marino was pretty close to signing with the Vikings after 17 seasons in Miami but said his body wouldn't let him.

Yes, and it was a decision for which his body will be forever thankful. The very next year after he retired, he confessed to an interviewer that he was extremely sore after a round of GOLF. Can you imagine how he'd have been after a few sacks on artificial turf?

Marino playing on turf (the old turf too not the soft field turf like now) would have been an utter disaster!!!!! Dan made the right move
