So Many Regrets

It's been discussed how Miami has missed out on some all pro players instead drafting guys like Austin Jackson, Noah Igbinoghene, Charles Harris... the list goes on. What's stings maybe even more is that Miami had Dan Campbell as their interim head coach and instead of keeping him the next year, hired Adam Gase. That's like trading in a Mercedes for a riding lawn mower that's missing three tires. Another bad Chris Grier move in a long line of glaringly bad misjudgments. It's almost as if he wants to lose.

Yep - as we look back, the Lions are what we wanted our rebuild to result in. Strong coach-led culture...really good drafting (Okudah excepted).

They're unbelievably better than when they had Stafford & Calvin Johnson. We are marginally better than when we were when Flores was apparently toxic and we had 2 OCs and another guy calling the plays...and Tua missed time early in the season due to injury.

Although it's close, I think we might have more raw top-end talent than them but:
- I've said for some time that McD gets less out of his talent than other coaches we've had
- injuries ravage us year in & year out

Those are both Grier issues in large part.

Not just the drafting......we dont hold on to great players either . Then we pay out fortunes to free agents. They ignore the trenches and.....Special teams. STs is killing our field posistion. Causing turnovers and costly penalties. Its sickening

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

The fans are beginning to react. It looks like the stadium was less than half full. Maybe, just maybe Ross saw it too.

ROSS is an Ahole. Its not about money to him. He was offered a record amount for the team recently and he turned it down. The hurricanes fill the stadium on Saturday and F1 racing and Taylor Swift fill it in the off season. We are helplessly, mercilessly stuck with his wrinkled old ignorant ass.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Post Edited once I looked up the figures:

While looking this up I noticed that the Canes' attendance is up 10% over last year. Good for them. But the figure I read said 55K average this year, 50K last year. Pretty good, considering their fans are NOT the students (trust me on that one).

Then I looked up the Phins attendance and pro football reference (dot com) said we are getting 78K. that's IMPOSSIBLE. .that' is much more than the actual stadium capacity. Ross must be giving them those numbers.

What numbers we do get are fans of visiting teams. It's kind of embarrassing. MOre than half the fans that show up are from the visiting teams.

Yeah......since the early 70s when the culture of Miami was forever changed many of the hometown fans moved to North Florida. If they didn't become Tampa or Jacksonville fans many just moved too far to attend games anymore. Florida remains a popular destination in the winter months for Northern teams fans.

I know several people who buy Dolphins tickets only to sell them for profit to Opposing visiting fans. Many make double and keep 1 game to attend for free.

Although I hate Jets fans tbe most ( I grew up in NYC)Bills fans are by far the most obnoxious. Only way to STFU is to mention 4 superbowls missed in a row.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

100%.

I have the misfortune of working with a bunch of Bills fans. They are whining after their loss this week grinning smiley

If you ever want to change things up, in addition to the 4 super bowls you can always mention the Curse of O.J.

What a load of crap. Greer has made as many good picks and pickups as any GM, and as many bad ones as any other GM. His problem is that he seems to be stuck with a QB that puts up great statistics but can't win the Big One, and I don't mean the Super Bowl, he's never gotten near that and I don't think he ever will. His offensive line gave him lots of time today, but it did no good. This QB is a LOSER.

45 you kind of lose credibility when you defend Grier and bash Tua.

His problem is he hired a coach to fix his top 5 QB and save his job, and too an extent, has succeeded but he lost sight of the big picture. Build a complete team around that. With that he's failed miserably.

Grier's job when handed this rebuild was to build a perennial contender. He's failed miserably and that's why he needs to go. In year 6 of his rebuild the record speaks volumes.

McD needs to go too. No more half measures. He fixed Tua but hasn't done much else.

Go read Barry Jackson's breakdown of the rebuild at the herald. Spells it out perfectly.

It could be due to a quirk in the message board software that doesn’t allow internet addresses/links to be posted. If you take out the http, dots coms and stuff it might work??
