Re: Miami Dolphins Oline woes........some more perspective

I'm impressed by how the Lions have arisen over the past few years. It's pretty obvious they've sustainably improved more than us in a shorter time.
They spent 1st rounders on RT Penei (#7 in 2021), C Ragnow (#20 in 2018) and LT Decker (#16 in 2016). LG Graham Glasgow was picked by the Lions in the 3rd round in 2016. To round out this year's starting 5, the Bengals picked RG Zeitler in the 1st round at #27 in 2012.
Interestingly, Campbell and Brad Holmes joined the Lions in 2021, so they inherited most of the OL (but, to your point, not the best one).
While I love OL, the part about the 2021 draft that always got me is that when we traded #3 (which we got from Houston) to SF, we got #12 from them. As we all know, we used that to trade back up and get Waddle. The pick at #12 was Micah Parsons. We would have gotten him and kept our 2022 1st rounder (ended up being #29) that we traded to move from 12 to 6. Moreover, we likely wouldn't have sent the 2023 1st rounder we got from SF for Chubb (again, that pick ended up being #29).
