Things the Dolphins did do right this off season.........

I was less then thrilled to see Wilkins leave, but the addition of Campbell has made that loss insignificant.

I truly believed the Dolphins couldn't find a replacement for Wilkins.I was dead wrong. 6'8" Campbell has been a terror...and when paired with Sieler.....My god. These two with Ramsey .....my absolute Favorite player......its almost like watching. JT and Zack Thomas again.

McDaniels is a weird dude though. Check out this quote:

"McDaniel started as any normal coach would, praising the ability of Sieler and Calais Campbell to read off each other, work together, and bring "juice" to the field. Then he went in another direction, and it has many fans laughing way too loud.

"He's like my binky, I would say. I don't like going game day without him," said McDaniel. "He's the guy when we pray together in the locker room that sits next to me every single week."

Campbell is 38 yrs old though. But hes been incredible.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Honestly, in terms of free agency it looks like Grier did a decent job. Granted we're only a bit over 1/2 way thru the season.

- Brewer instead of Williams
- Jonnu Smith
- Fuller has been really steady across from Ramsey
- Calais (man, perhaps we got lucky that Shaq Barrett retired suddenly...plus Calais owes us for taking out Tannehill's knee several years ago)
- a couple of LBs who are at least playing better than Long & Baker are this year

Poyer was a miss.

Absolutely. I did not think we could replace Wilkins , but alot of the FA signings have been terrific.

Why does he struggle so much with Olinemen!? I really think he needs to get an offensive minded person and hire them to consult.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

For me, the "what-if" scenarios are something I can't shake from my mind. What if Wilkins stayed with the Phins, gotten a huge paycheck, then unfortunately broken his foot as a Phin? That's a big fate-scenario but I couldn't help but think of it. And I was a huge fan of his.

I get that.......but instead we gave TUA double that and hes practically had his neck broken... .again. think back how many times the Pats opted out of the first round for more picks in lower rounds. #1 players bring that kind of Pay. Guys like agent/lawyer/ jerkoff Drew Rosenhaus are killing the sport. The Chiefs let go of Hill and his paycheck and didnt miss a beat.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

It's tough to stack any team's situation up against teams with probably the 2 best QBs ever. The Pats could probably afford to opt out of the 1st round because they had a huge security blanket in Brady...and he was willing to take less than his colleagues to help the team cap-wise to boot.

At the time, I thought it would have been self-aware and team-first if Tua had taken a bit below market. But, realistically that's how those things go...just the price of doing business.

Regarding his head-first charge into Hamlin, that was an awful, inexcusable decision. It is turning out to show us & the world how valuable he is to the team vs. the next best alternatives we had access to. Criminal-level negligence not to have a better back-up QB with Tua's history. But, Tua needs to be WAY smarter about that going forward.
