McDaniel designed an excellent offensive scheme. Unfortunately, that was last year. When the rest of the league caught up in the middle of last year, that offense tanked. He hasn't made ANY useful modifications since then. NO touches in the first half for two of his best players. He isn't the leader that we need, we have too much talent on this roster to be playing this badly. He proved today that he cannot get this team to play hard, which is a MUST in this league. Too many pre-snap penalties (60% of all our penalties!), poor special teams play, poor quarterbacking (why would ANYBODY believe it will be 'TUA to the Rescue!')? He was playing poorly when he was playing! We are going to need a new QB, and we are apparently going to be in a draft position to acquire one. We need a coach that knows what he is doing! This season has been horrifying so far. I don't see how we are going to get better under this incompetent, regardless of his having attended Yale(not a positive thing these days), or his being "articulate"(something which I see little of). Hell, I'd take Belicheat over this guy. He isn't a very good personnel man, but he can still coach as well as he ever has. Somehow, I don't think Ross is going to do what he should do- Fire this Yale clown and his GM.

ewwww. Gross.

The second part of the above statement may have been accurate about 5+ years ago.
But he can't coach as well anymore. His record in his past few seasons tells the tale. (3 out of his last 4 were losing seasons, with the finale going 4-13).
He's another example of a coach (albeit a more successful one) who had the rest of the league (finally) figure him out.
With McDaniel, he was a lot easier to figure out, and completely fails to adjust. Belicheat used to be able to adjust but now he's too busy trying to buy stuff for his young-enough-to-be-his-granddaughter girlfriend.
Oh, and he's a chronic cheater. That's a pass from me.
Granted, McDaniel is having issues with the play calling with Tua on the bench, but....not much he can do with our guys fumbling twice, and losing the ball both times.
I am willing to give McDaniel the benefit of the doubt that once Tua gets back on the field, and more importantly, gets back in rythm, that the offense will start clicking and hopefully the defense continues their good work. Not sure how well or poorly Tua will do if he plays this Sunday. Don't forget, he will start practicing Wednesday, so the timing will probably not be there for a couple of weeks.
Will Tua make a difference? With him walking into a 2-4 record, it will be extremely difficult for the Fins to make the playoffs. Miami has a pretty soft schedule for the next few weeks, so we will just have to wait to see what happens.
Tua's contract McDaniels and Ramsey terrible contracts will set the Phins back years unless they blow them out. Mcdaniels play calling is terrible They should have moved Tua signed Wilson for nothing and got picks for future QB. Too late now
JC, did you watch our last game against him? It was obvious that he didn't have the horses (he 'shopped for the groceries', the reason that he didn't have the horses because he's a poor GM), but they played a well-coached game. They just didn't have a prayer with inferior players. So, I disagree with you about Belicheats' coaching acumen. I think that he still has it.
Whoa......Ramsey may cost alot but hes been steller at his position. Defense has been keeping us at least competive.Dont touch him. Now on offense Id trade Hill for a couple lineman in a heartbeat.Trade Archane......hes often injured....not built for longevity. Wright can take over.
Sigh......Were stuck with McDaniels this season. Start over with a new HC 2025.
He doesn't deserve a second chance, for two reasons:
1. The team as a whole hasn't played up to their abilities so far this year- the coach's job.
2. Tua was playing very poorly when he was hurt (does anybody else have a suspicion that he pulled that stunt on purpose?) and I see no reason at this time to believe he will be able to pull this team out of the doldrums. I hope that he can, but I won't believe it until I see it.

Yep, too easy to figure out and No he is not an offensive "mastermind" as I have heard once or twice. The kid is more concerned with making a fashion statement on the field, concerned with being everyone's friend on the team, and not concerned with winning.
I agree he is a clown and best suited for a towel position. I am convinced....Fk Mcdbag hope he gets canned.
