Clean House!

I blame this mess on that little wart of a girlyman coach we are currently saddled with. Stop kissing your players as they come off the field and try some yelling. Strive for toughness. Coaches from the Shanahan tree typically don't put a high priority on the O-line. McDaniel seems to have taken that to the nth degree, because our o-line has been TERRIBLE so far. But, there is sooo much more. Why is Danny Crossman still here? Why didn't he prepare for the likely possibility that his useless little QB might go down with an injury? Why is his team so sloppy that they had an insane amount of penalties? In that first quarter, nobody on offense looked like they had any idea of what to do or even where they were supposed to line up? The defense apparently has very little idea of how to tackle. This was possibly the most poorly-coached game I have seen in quite a while, and I've been watching this game since 1962. And, that is three poor performances in a row. I think it's time to usher Chris Greer out the door, too. Too many players with an injury history.
Also, that damn fool Ross is just throwing money at players, money that they haven't earned yet, and they are not showing any signs that they ever will.
So-my suggestion is this: Clean House! I can hardly believe that I am saying this, but..Bring in Belichick! he's a lousy personnel man, but we've already got the groceries, we just need a chef! He is still an excellent coach. Let's do it!

I have suffered living in the Boston area with Belicheat as the local coach for 20+ years.

I know he wants to go to the giants. But they won today.

I don’t want my team to be coached by that old cheating crank whose only purpose in life is to break Shula’s victory record (that, and dating women 1/3 his age). Gross.

I think Chris Grier should be the first to be on the toe end of a boot.

"Strive for toughness." From what we've seen this element isn't in McDaniel's make-up. McDaniel is not the coach the Dolphins need and Grier needs to go now. Another lost season....sad smiley

Not to add salt to the wounds......but Flores was killing it in Minnesota this weekend. With all the extentions, all of the monies we have wrapped up we are going to have to unload some players to move on.

Finish out the season. Maybe Hundly will surprise us.......if it continues then we clean house in January. We still have some great defensive weapons. They gave us a chance to win yesterday but our offense was to inept . The Oline! We all said it repeatedly over the summer. Greer needs to go. Gonzo! Ill give Mike the rest of the season . But its not looking good .

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Grier should have been let go with Flores. Ross and his half measures are largely to blame. Every time I see TJ Watt make a play for pitt, I remember Grier saying he saw "something special" in Charles Harris.

This is hard to watch and stomach. Whenever it seems we take a step forward, we take 10 steps backwards. The team has looked unprepared every game so far. McDaniel needs to give up play calling and become the HC of the entire team. Grier should have been forced to find his own way home from Seattle. Wonder if he's still laughing about the oline concerns?

Monday night be for the first overall pick in the draft if they don't get this turned around. If they do lose it's time to start unloading expiring contracts for as many picks as we can get...as long as Grier isn't involved in any of it.

It would be just our luck to tank this season and miss out on Arch Manning who ends up going to another team.

Gentleman:
I apologise for that outburst, I was seeing red, just as many of you were. The reality is, there's not a whole lot that we can do at this point in the season. I certainly still believe that some changes need to be made, but now is not the time to do it. We really can't do much now, so I guess we just have to cross our fingers and hope things get better before the end of the season- they have to, to some extent, because they really can't look worse. Since the middle of last season, this team has been an embarrassment to its fans. That MUST be addressed, or we're going to devolve to the point that we will have a very high draft choice. I would much rather WIN.

This is apparently a much bigger mess, but to send a message right now, I would cut TE Julian Hill. Good physical talent, but costs us with undisciplined play. Sunday was abysmal, but I've observed he's generally been on the wrong end of "takes no talent" stuff throughout his time with us.

And, there's really not much excuse I can think of to have him and Conner on the field together and getting TE targets when you have Jonnu Smith on the team.

I agree. Hill only made one positive play that I can think of, and a whole lot of dumb mistakes that really hurt us. Drops. Penalties. We should be using our talented, big-money pickup in Jonnu Smith.

No need to apologize, anybody that doesn't feel frustrated when the wheels fall off isn't a true fan. On some other teams when the back-up QB comes in it's usually a much smoother transition than the fustercluck that we witnessed yesterday.

Nick Foles came in off the bench and took the Eagles to the SB, the same with Tom Brady. It's rare but, it happens. With the hapless Dolphins, even after 10 days to practice the snaps were still a mess. That's on the coaches and there is no excuse.

McD is being exposed here, as he should. The team wasn't ready for this game and if we're being honest, it wasn't ready for the season. 3 games into the season and at no point have the Dolphins ever had a lead. That's disgusting.

McDaniels is a dbag and not an offensive genius like I've heard in the past.

This dude is more concerned with his outfit and fkd up hair than he is with winning.

Strap in boys it is going to get even $h*ttier, and it is only game 3.

I watch other good teams and it makes me wonder WTF is Miami doing wrong year after year?

Bored to tears...I decided to watch the Bills play the Jags. First thing noticed was how cohesive the offensive line play is compared to the Dolphins unit. The Bills seem to have their big guys up front working hard and with skill on most plays--not perfect--but very good. Allen is a big strong QB and his presence poses a threat on every play. I remain very disgusted with the Dolphins and feel that the season is a goner already. I can't see any magic from McDaniel and certainly there is no Earl Morrall at QB that will lead the team down he field to victory. Sad but true.

No need to apoligize! Ross needs to apoligize. No matter how much money he spends he constantly turns in an inferior product. Year after year , its bad decisions and lack of any football vision that keeps us in constant rebuilding mode.

How many times have we all said here ......What about the Oline? You gave Tua karate lessons to help him fall? WTF? How did that work out? Pathetic. Lets give him $200 million and not protect him!!

I hope Ross has the prune balls to actually do what he needs to do in Jan.and fires McDaniels. These players need a coach not a friend.......

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

I felt this way during the preseason, but just presumed business was being handled to prepare the team for the season. But, it seemed like the whole preseason was all about
- new contracts/more money for star players
- extension for McD
- status of OBJ
- whether the OL would be able to perform well enough with the talent on hand

By far the most noteworthy thing from the preseason games was the obviousness that with White & Thompson we'd be choosing between which option sucked less...with neither giving the remotest indication that they could be trusted if Tua went down.

Not one person here was Psyched about TUAs deal. Not 1 person here was like .....YES!! Here we go ....finally.

Because we all knew TUA just wasnt built for the NFL. We knew he would go down. But They knew that right? So they protected him right? Kiss your QB......but throw him to the wolves.

Ross is now going to make us eat shitty leftovers for the next 3 yrs because everyone is signed on forever.

OK. I want to see Tyler Hundly start. Maybe he can be a miracle man. At this point Im pulling for him because its all we got.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Thanks JC, but I am a bit disappointed in myself- I try to be a clear, objective thinker, but I guess I let this team get under my skin. Come to think of it, that happens too often. But, we don't appear to be able to win or even compete in a prime time game anymore. We haven't won many prime time games in front of the whole country since Earl Campbell's rookie season when he ran for three long touchdowns on us on a Monday night.

Oh man unfortunately I remember that earl Campbell game. I remember losing to the Oilers way too many times. And guess what , we are playing against the Titans tomorrow, which is the same team. I hope we don’t get embarrassed again.

But also don’t forget: our most magical Monday night performance was definitely AFTER that Earl Campbell game. The year was 1985, the opponent was the undefeated (up until that game) Chicago bears. The venue was the Orange Bowl and I was THERE! Marino and company crapped on the Bears undefeated run, the 1972 alumni were in the stadium for motivation. And it was a night to remember.

Chris Grier should have been fired years ago. He is absolutely terrible. This offensive line is a disgrace.

I was in Vegas for that Bears game, I really KNEW that we were going to win outright, but I'm not a gambler so I was too dumb to bet on the game- which of course we won.
