On Offense I agree. Brooks had some good runs until he got his bell rung. To be fair though Skylar threw a perfect pass to Braxton Berios and it was dropped in the end zone.
Defense played good but got called again for bullshit. Chop and Duck look promising, Cam Smith had a few nice plays.....that kind of depth will really help out in November /December.
I think its obvious that should we lose Tua that White and Thompson cannot run this offense. We need a veteran like Tannehill as backup if we want to go deep in the post season. White stunk with the Jets not sure what the front office and staff saw in him. Thompson has some talent but is still showing that he is not ready to be depended on.
I was glad to see Cam Smith and Eric Ezukama do some good things in the game. When so much of the $ goes to proven top-end players & positions, we need draft picks to provide signifant value on their rookie contracts. That's every team that has a talented roster, of course...so not a Phins-specific problem.
Was also cool to see Jonnu Smith be effective in different ways. And Achane catch one down the sideline split out wide like a receiver. In crunch time, you gotta have number of legit options...not just throw to Tyreek. I know I'm preaching to the choir, but good to see.
I finally got a look at the highlights from this game. That was an all time horrible drop of a sure TD pass by Berrios. But, this is where to make mistakes. In the preseason.
There were a few very good pass defense plays by our corners. I love to see that. Especially when this league calls pass interference if the defender…..does anything.
I’ll tell you what disappointed me was. The dancing. We don’t need to dance after throwing a preseason TD. We don’t need to dance after a preseason sack of the qb. And we don’t need to dance during the first half of the regular season, only to disappoint later in the season. If we are to be honest with ourselves we should have danced like the Australian Olympic Breakdance team to show the world how serious we really are. Dance after winning the Super Bowl.
In terms of celebrating touchdowns, I loves me some Barry Sanders. Flipped the ball to the ref and headed to the sideline. However, even in the late 80s & 90s he was an anomaly in that regard.

Oh yeah, definitely. They never showed the Lions on TV except on Thanksgiving so I didn't see as much as I should from Sanders.
My version of that 'celebration' was Larry Csonka, who would do what you said, flip the ball to the ref and jog back to the sideline.
I agree.Thsts my only real issue with MCDANIELS. He appears at times to be more of a friend then a HC. The team appears to be in really good sprits though.Morale is high,....eveyone was highfiving ,congratulating. Its good to see.....but tell them to cut the shit on every touchdown. Celebrate in the playoffs or when Tyrek hits 2000.
