I wasn't paying full attention but I thought I heard the announcers say Brian had a hand in drafting Purdy. At very the least he has a hand in COACHING the guy and I guess deserves partial credit for Purdy's success so far.

If the 49ers keep this up for a few more weeks, Brian's gonna get a call from his dad saying 'hey you need to lose a game'.

Best advice he gave Purdy.......

If you get drunk and fall down a flight of stairs.......come up with a better excuse then. "I tripped over my dog"

The 49ers struck gold with Purdy, that young man has pure talent. He said his favorite all time QB was Dan Marino which is why he wears #13.

It's a feel good story. Unfortunately there's a lot of talent in the later rounds that never gets a chance to show what they got except in practice and even then they don't get as many reps as the featured QB. Purdy might never have gotten a chance if we didn't knock Garapola out of the game last year. Then Purdy comes in and beats us silly, quite some "Thank-you".
