The only way id trade our valuable 3rd overall is if we get another first overall next year.

A first this year afirst next year and two second rounders.

Samsam we likely aren't getting another first from going from 3 to 8 unless a team is real hot on a guy who may be the 3rd qb taken. Possible if someone really wants Fields or whoever is the#3 guy

I'll take Kedarious Toney a top 3 RB, and one of the OL at 39 over Smith or Sewell at 3. Remember Jake Long? A solid player but was he worth a top pick?

Yeah jake long has been my point to tcpf aka the dumb one about taking sewell with 3rd overall pick. Thank god he has nothing to do with the dolphins front office. Or else we be a worst organization than the jets.

samsam.... the draft jake long was taken in was a awful draft in the NFl.... Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco were in it but pretty much everyone else was not good.... so yes Jake long was actually a good pick.

And yes I do think we could get that from Carolina... potentially more... teams are giving up multiple draft for a QB, so a first this year and next year along with #39 this year is not beyond reason

UMMM ........last time I checked we already have a 1st round QB with TUA . In this draft you are calling for a wide receiver not a QB.
So how could you even the compare the two drafts? WAY different circumstances .

We had Chad Pennginton and injured QB who Parcells wanted to PROTECT. And Protect him Jake Long did.

You have such a 1 dimensional view of the NFL draft , the Game of Football and the Miami Dolphins. You just see a player who was in one circumstance on a completely different team and insist they will plug and play here. Get this this and that and this this and that will occur.

Jake long was an amazing pick unfortunately they picked Chad Henne in the 2nd round and started him for 5 yrs. Miamis Darkest days IMO. So Your problem is that they picked a Top lineman and didn't draft Matt Ryan because they went with a injured QB like Pennington. NOT because of Jake Long.Jake Long did exactly what he was drafted to do.

Facts always seem like a problem with you Sam.

A Top Generational Lineman in this Scenario , with a rookie QB and several other rookie Lineman will only make this team better.

Yes he ended up an injured mess. As many NFL players do. Yrs later.

Try for a second to grasp the facts. We didn't go for a 1st round QB because we traded for Chad Pennington. We picked a second rounder to back him up. and with that trade and Jake Longs help we went from 1-15 to 11-5 in one season. Now more then a decade later with a completely different team and direction and circumstances you want to argue a Lineman for a lineman . Stop it Sam your embarrassing yourself.

Ryan Tannehill was still our QB that draft season in 2018. My argument was and will always be we already had our franchise back. Build around him. I never said a word of Lamar Jackson ever. We never gave Ryan what he needed to be successful. And hes proved it time and again since leaving here. The only wet firecracker here IS YOU. Over and over again you prove that again and again.

Having Flores coaching the Seniorbowl is HUGE. I Really think we draft down and clean up with players like you mention.
