Here we go. TT is about to start his first game as a Dolphins. Memorable I hope. The offensive line needs to be very protective of him and the receivers need to be mindful to come back to him for the ball if he gets in trouble.
Tua is known for his accuracy and I expect to see that today.Watching him at Alabama, it was like he had his own timing piece that told him how much to lead the receiver on a throw.
Good luck to him and the entire team. "Play like Champions today."
Ogbah and Van Ginkle...wonderful play. Grant running like the winged footed Mercury. Defense is impressive today. Goff wished he had missed the plane to Florida.
No pressure on our young QB. 28-7 at half time. Fantastic.
Defense and special teams were on it today. Tua's td pass was on the money. I'm really happy this game was shown on the west coast, I FINALLY got to see a game instead of reading news and watching highlights.
The Rams were one very frustrated football team today. I had said earlier that Goff wished he had missed the plane to Florida. I believe many of the Rams' players were thinking the same thing at the end of the game.
The Dolphins were energized. They were in the right place at the right time with their arms up that tipped passes and or distracted passes to be thrown by Goff. Goff had a terrible outing.
Hats off to a superb defensive effort and game approach. The game was exciting to watch at first because Tua was starting, however, the defense took center stage and the spotlight stayed on them. Amazing.
The team is improving and it's noticeable. Now with Tua completing his first NFL game, he will only get better and more confident with experience. I surmise that he will find a few receivers that he will have real confidence in and they will be his primary targets.
I REALLY got to appreciate Gaskin's play during this game. His yardage wasn't terrific but he really helped move the chains towards the end of the game.

I agree and it's hard to not root for the kid, but that said, I think long-term, we need an upgrade at the running back position. I think Gaskin would be better suited as a third down sort of back. He's listed at about 200 lbs. but he sure looks smaller than that. I'll admit that the run blocking is the major culprit for the running game woes, but I have to believe that running back will be addressed in the draft next year. Najee Harris would look good in a Dolphins uniform.

Oh I agree, he can't do it all by himself. And you're right he is extremely strong for his size.
We could use a fullback ! I know that position largely doesn't exist any more, but I still think it'd be great. So many phins fans are looking for the next Marino...I'd be happy with a next Csonka.

A lot to like about Gaskin, and he's definitely the kind of player that we want on the team. But, he's much more the kind I want as RB2 or 3rd down back. His fumble (hit pretty hard, it happens) and drop (an unusual occurrence, as he's typically a really good receiver) really hurt in this one game. We're fortunate the D & ST more than made up for our offense's difficulties. I do like his toughness and effort.
