Like when Rosen went to the Cardinals?

Let's just walk down memory lane. I remember that draft. I was sitting in my car before going to see my buddy outside the hospital he was in. We were due to draft 11th I believe.
Let's be clear. I was hoping we would draft UCLA Quarterback Josh Rosen, who I had been seeing playing out here at UCLA. We had the 12th pick as I recall
When the 11th pick was up, the Arizona cardinals traded into the 11th spot and chose Rosen. I tried to tell Treasure then that Arizona did that because they knew we wanted Rosen.
When Rosen gets healthy U will C why this old guy from L.A. wanted him.

Well first let me be clear.......I am still hoping you were right. I was wrong. But myself and the rest of the world are STILL waiting .

Ohhhhh. So we dont have to absolutely draft a QB with #5 now? Are you saying we have options?
According to an interview with a dr. I heard several weeks ago (perhaps on SiriusXM NFL channel 880, but I wouldn't swear to it), he claimed to have seen the films of tua's hip, and his take was that there was damage to the hip socket itself. If true (this seems to agree with what Michael Lombardi stated on his podcast last week about AT LEAST two teams in the top ten failing his physical and removing him from their boards), it would be much worse than a 50-50 proposition to select him at 5, or really, anywhere. It's a 50-50 proposition at the best of times, and, with the injury questions, its actually much worse odds than that.

I agree with you on that.
I did, however, state that I wouldn't be surprised if NE snags him. They don't care if a QB played in a major conference like the SEC or Big Ten, they look for a QB's mechanics according to an article I read about them some years ago.
With all that aside, I really liked what I saw with Gordon's highlights on youtube, I think he has the potential to succeed in the NFL. I remember feeling the same way about Garoppolo before he got drafted.
I just read that Hebert & Tua are falling. Hebert because of accuracy and Tua because of health concerns, as expected. Only QB worthy of a top ten pick is Burrow.
Would any of the rest of the lot actually be an upgrade over who we already have? Would a pretty much new team around him and Chan Gaily as our offensive coordinator be able to make Josh Rosen play like the QB he was drafted to be after getting annihilated his rookie year and sitting this past season? I know Gaily worked well with Fitz.
Those are questions I've been thinking about lately. I've gotta say this though, the Dolphins are doing a good job of keeping who they want with their 1st pick a secret.
