Lions v. Dolphins: Game Day Thread
Posted by: colonel ()

The Lions will play outdoors today in the Florida sunshine. Watch them welt. tongue sticking out smiley

We can beat these guys provided all our players do their job and execute without penalties. Osweiler has a chance to prove himself again--this time the opponent knows he will be the QB. Let's get the TEs involved a little more and run the ball at these guys.

Hoping for another fun, thrilling game and a big victory.

Go Dolphins!

Let’s hope so...at the stadium now. Let’s go Miami. Even having a Sam Adams Brocktoberfest or two...you know for luck along with a Shula Burger.

Our D is a step slow right now and no pass rush.

I'll bet Gase doesn't lose much sleep designing the game plan.

I wonder if Miami will ever have a QB like Stafford? It's been so long since Danny I've forgotten what it feels like.

It's still super early in this games obviously, but I am not diggn' what the O and D are showing on their first possessions.

Plenty of time for us to step it up, but it would be nice if we came out on fire once in a while, especially on O. Did you see that statistic, 17 straight games without an opening drive score? ugh...

Do Phins!!

The team looks sluggish to me thus far. Both offense and defense. They need to pick it up or Stafford will score again.

I always figured he designed while he was asleep.

3rd and 10 and we try and run it up the middle when we have had no success so far running the ball?

Sometimes I have no idea what we think we are doing?

Play calling is terrible. A run play on 3rd and 10? Really? Frank Gore is exceptional but no magical. C'mon Gase. Use those TEs.

3rd and 10 and you run Drake up the middle. Gase is such a creative play caller... said no one who's ever seen him call a game.

and now a 71 yard Lions run.... WTF are we doing? These guys need to stop reading all the press clippings.

Zero pass rush allowing Stanford to do whatever he wants.

Its early but so far Miami is getting their asses handed to them. Linebacker play sucks. Playcalling sucks.

If Wilson is out, so is 90% of the offense.

Kenny, Frank, and Albert all dinged up on that drive. Thats NFG.

Big hit on the unsuspecting security guard. Hope she is okay. The hit also hurt Stills. Glad we scored but allowing too much on defense. Since when do Lions run the ball well? Against us! C'mon LBs.

The way the secondary is playing they couldn't cover a 5 year old today.

What a lackluster effort in the first half.

Watching Cameron Wake: He seems to have lost a step or two and is getting manhandled by the Lions' RT.

Defensive line is being outplayed and our LBs are out of sync. They are making many mental mistakes. Coverage is lacking badly.

Offensively we are not calling good plays. Our plays are too obvious and poorly executed.

More use of TEs is necessary to move the ball consistently, IMO.

I. Think they've been lucky to win the games they've won but this kind of poor effort and play calling eventually catches up with you.You can't expect Wilson to take 5 yard passes to the house multiple times a game. You have to be able to push the ball downfield. Front seven is being manhandled. Not encouraging.

This team couldn't stop a brown autumn leaf in a mild October breeze.

If you hadn't of told he kneeled, I wouldn't have known it. I dont really give 2 craps about what his politics are. I'm just sick of this team being a frigging loser.

Porous defense again this week. Inconsistent is the key word. I have to wonder if its weak talent or bad defensive calls. Alonzo may be the lead tackler on the team but he still can't cover anyone running a pass route.

We are going to lose this game.... It's the beginning of the 4th and we are down. Lions keep marching down the field. Their receivers look great.
