Why would you keep both Osweiler and Fales on the roster? With the roster so full of holes what is the purpose of keeping two bad QBs and thereby taking away a spot you could use for someone that might have some use on special teams. I mean, seriously, do they really think some team was going to swoop in and sign either of these bozos?
If Tannehill gets hurt and his back up gets hurt, I'm fairly sure either Fales or Osweiler would be available. They cut Lippett and kept Fales and Osweiler? The more moves I see from this crew, the more convinced I am that they don't have a clue as to what they're doing.
After watching pre-season scrimmages, I'm not sure that there was sufficient time for either of the "backups" to show what they can really do with the first team players on offense. Besides, with RT's post injury wheels, this just may be insurance for the team to have players involved with the team day in and day out versus having one of them or both eating chips at home when they get a call to come back to back up the other QB (because RT is down). All and all, who knows for sure what this management thinks. We are going to find out who gets bumped from the "53" on the team today. It could be different in a few days. Lippett could be back on the team very soon. Again who knows.

Colonel,
My issue with that line of thinking, assuming it's what Gase is actually thinking, is that whatever slim chance this team has to be successful this year, is based completely on Tannehill staying healthy and playing each game. Truthfully, if we're being honest, this team is not making the playoffs this year with or without Tannehill. With him, perhaps they could squeak out a .500 record. Without him, what difference does it make if it's Osweiler, Fales, or someone else who they could sign in the odd chance that both starter and backup get hurt. This team is so thin in talent that it can't afford to waste a roster spot on two bad backup QBs. Maybe this fixes itself and they cut one of them before the season starts. I'm just finding it difficult to rationalize the thinking if they don't.
I am thinking Gase ego got the better of him here. As he perceives himself the qb whisperer and guru. He thinks he can turn all 3 into something special, which aint happening. I think he is a horrible qb guy, his guy forever cutler?? sucks, tanny?? sucks, brock?? swallows lol. if your so good at judging qb how the hell cant you decide between fales or os??? we all know fales is better dont we?? just cant admit to mistakes. you have a shit show at wr and you cut a very talented ford to keep an extra qb?? there has to be more too it folks i hope he can trade one for a draft pick or something because, parker is a fart away from being out for the season, amendola will get hurt, grant is in concussion protocal, albert? jury is out on him when the game counts, and stills the me man remake of randy moss not playing when he doesnt want to( my opinion only) we need wr not qb for crying out loud. Gotta start doing something to move the average pass past 15 ft. gase gotta give up the play calling cuz his ass sucks at that too. on that note i think gesecki will be a beast if they throw him the ball and gore and drake should have field days with the dump pass out of the backfield. One more week boys, and it all begins. goooooo Phins
cmon Fins he is the guru the whisperer the main cheese lol, if your down to number 3 qb does it really matter who it is lmao. Hell it doesnt matter who it is with our first lol. got zero LB zero CB zero DL a 90yr old RB and 3qb that cant throw 5yrds. I hope he stays forever lol.

I just hope he didn't just pick up Falk to pick his brain about the Titans and then plans to cut him. I'd much rather have Falk on the roster than Osweiler or Fales. At least we don't know the ceiling on Falk. I also wonder if they plan to put Falk on the practice squad and go ahead with the dubious notion of keeping both Osweiler and Fales on the 53 man roster.

RE: I think they try to stash him on the practice squad. I don't like this idea however (Don't like Malveaux being there either) because those players are too easily poached and we'd get nothing for such a guy. I'd rather have those two developmental guys on the 53 so we have security and time to work with them.

Looking like Gase signed him for one week to get some info on Titans. I know this sort of thing is done routinely, but I think it's kind of a bush league move. The fact that Bellichick does it so often only makes my point all the better.
Exactly why am i dumb?? because i dont think gase is a good coach and not very good at developing qb? I am glad your so much more intelligent than me and Not a SOB. If you think that we will win with a 3rd string qb your crazier than me.

I am with you on drafting a QB in the draft. It wasn't going to be one of the top 4-5. Lamar wasn't going at 11 either. That would have been way to high. If he would have slipped to us in round 2 then hell yes take him. At 11 would have been a mistake. That is all I am saying.
I do believe Tanne can be effective. I am hoping for health.
