After the smooth play from a bunch or 2nd-, 3rd-, and 4th stringers and behind a couple of questionable backup QB's, what do you think of Gase leaving the playcalling to his offensive coordinator while he transitions from a mediocre playcaller into the talented head coach that he has the capacity to be?

Miami has been offering "on the job" training to first time Head Coaches for quite awhile now and it needs to stop. We need a true HC and not just two OCs.
If Gase does not trust Loggains to call the plays why did he hire the guy.

Then let drake call the plays lmao, we havent had a good OC in years, doesnt matter who calls the plays, whoever has the biggest set of balls gets my vote. professional players making millions should be able to go more than 15ft in a play. thats like throwing a ball across your kitchen and thinking your dan marino meeting gordon ramsay.

Then we're no worse off than we are now. But, what if Loggains is good at it?

my point is that Gase calls some seriously stupid game plans, and the best they can do is 15ft per attempt. I am just saying to me it doesnt matter who the OC is as long as its someone other than gase, thats all i am saying.

Ah. I see. I was having trouble believing that was it, but I was wrong.

Wouldn't it be crazy....absolutely insane if we had a great QB like Greise who would call the plays himself??? I need to stop dreaming.

What exactly does a OC that doesn't call plays do?

Oversees the training of the offense components of the team during practices and lending input during crucial game on the spot decisions that arise.

In other words, I am used to either the QB or the Head coach calling the plays. To me, the offensive coordinator is more of a practice guy and just a consultant at actual gametime tough situation where advice is needed from all.
