Good info...I now know a little about this guy. Being elevated to DC is a big promotion and one that requires him to raise to the occasion. Let's all wish him the very best. smiling smiley The challenges that lie ahead in the next few months for the team are those we need to watch.

Can he upgrade the defense so they ultimately improve from 30th against the run to 15th? That would be a big improvement. thumbs up

I'm always one to look for the bright side and hope for the best so hopefully he will use his psychology & education degrees to get the defense to play better.

YES. I saw that as well. Football is also a very psychological game as well as physical. And some coaches just get more out of people then others. Its a gift. I saw a difference this year when we had injuries back ups stepped up. They seemed better prepared to play. Confidence plays a big part . We are all human and even Football players can relay on brute strength for so long. The mind is a very powerful thing.

I believe the better coaches can tap into that. Its only been 1 season, but I think GASE might have that gift and he sees something in Matt Burke. I'm on the bus 100%. Go Dolphins!

GO MIAMI!!!

I just hope our linebacker situation gets taken care of because this defense has been swiss cheese for the most part. I wish Matt well, I hope he can get it great.

No doubt. We need a monster LB to fall to #22. Remember Zach Thomas fell to the 5th round.

GO MIAMI!!!

This guy looks like he can suit up and play!

And I know the town he's from--driven through there a few times. It's a Blue Collar town about an hour west of Boston. Our governor from about 15-20 years ago was a from Hudson.

Sounds like he has good roots, I like the hire so far.

**Edited to add** and we promoted from in, as you mentioned!
