good counterpoints, all true, the only knock I have on Luck is the afc south being weak.

Sweeze cheese ... is your accent that strong Sam? smiling smiley

And if you go back on this board's history, you'll see me writing constantly BEFORE HIS DRAFT that "Luck ain't that good." I'm a Cal man (after transferring from Purdue) and had a natural hatred for this Stanford guy......but......to say Tanny is even close.....Holy Moly!

Look.....I'm not going to debate Tannehill Vs. Luck. I like Luck too. But he does need to stay healthy a bit more.

I never said Tannehill was the best or is ever going to be the best. Lots of QB's win divisions and Superbowl's and are barely in the Top half of the NFL (Top 16).

But you have Sam Sam saying he is not even good. Not even a contender. Its such a wrong statement to say that Tannehill is not a good Young QB and that he has not accomplished anything because this Team sucks.

You get facts that put our rushing game in the bottom of the NFL #32 and you want to say our Oline is made of #1 draft picks so its Tanny's fault.
What utter and complete ignorance.

Gase picked THIS TEAM out of several other NFL offers because of Tannehill . That fact goes right over your head every time you open your mouth Sam Sam. Finding a good QB is the hardest thing to find. Some teams like the 49ers get lucky and Pick 2 greats in a row (Montana & Young.) But it never happens anymore. Some get 17 yrs out of a guy like Brady. Miami had Marino. But finding another is very very difficult. Almost impossible for a Team like the Jets.

So Gas came here because we have a young QB with tons of potential thats never been given an opportunity to succeed. The right blocking/coaching/.......a solid defense to help him.

Your so ignorant Sam that you believe Tom Brady would have been great here. Takes a combination of Skill, coaching, and team players/effort and luck (staying healthy) to win championships.

You dont even believe what your saying Sam because you pussied out on an opportunity to help cancer and prove you believe what you say by betting and putting our mouths where the money is.

Sam your a nice guy , I'd love to watch a game with you.......but you dont get it. smileys with beer

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

I dont trust tannehill no more.

Too many times losing in the 4th quarter, he flopped.

But Cap, SamSam used to be Tannehill's greatest defender so no one can say that he didn't give Tanny a chance. Quite frankly, I see what he is talking about.

True, I don't remember many games that Tanny took us OUT of....but neither do I remember any games in which it could be said that his passing (which is all a QB is for in this modern age) WON us the game.

I even called him Ryan Tannehill the Real Deal.

I gave him as a fan more chances than anyone.

Kind of hard to be heroic when you have an entire 1st string Oline out , the pocket is collapsing on 1 ,the coaching doesn't support you, even though all teams know the cadence and plays before he does.

Ohhh pesky facts again Sam, still waiting for you to supply one.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

We will see this year. They given him all the weapons both on the OL and receivers.

We will see what excuse you going to come up again with this year.

I understand what you are saying Chryen, and Sam, but with all the "turmoil" that has surrounded RT since his arrival, it is unfair to label him as the problem.

Many of us here have said give him this year, with Gase, an improved OL, and Joseph (who should be getting this defense back to where it should be) to show what he is made of.

If RT still fails, then it is time to draft the next Marino, but until then, lets see what he can do with a coach who believes in him and a solid OL.

Sam, from what I read from Treasure, he won't be giving excuses if RT fails. He will be joining the rest of us in clamoring for another franchise QB.

If that does happen, hopefully Miami will have finished in a spot where they have a high draft choice and can get one of the top QBs.

Im hoping we are either really good and tannehill becomes great or we are really bad and end up getting either the 1st or 2nd pick in the draft. Nothing in between.

My fears is we will be good enough just to miss the playoffs and end up picking about 19th or 20th therefore we will miss drafting one of the top qbs.

Not saying he's the problem, Cap. Just saying he might not be the solution.

The Texans have publically said they were hoping Tannehill did not sign here. The Jets, the Bills, and several other teams were interested in a free agent signing. They recognize he was never placed in a situation to succeed.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAh

Iam sure they didnt try and give him all the weapons.....

Iam sure joe philbin didnt want to win and keep his job.

The dolphins had a very good receiving corps last year.

But if you have a wet firecracker throwing all those errant passes iam sure they will get hurt and you will no longer have a good receiving corps.

They might have tried, But they didn't succeed. How many were even left on that Oline?

Yeah. And someone threw them the ball?

The team's success this coming season still remains anyone's guess. The expectation from the so-called experts and talking heads is that 2016 will be another bust for the team and placing dead last in the division is likely. As usual, the team to beat is you know who with the others trying to gain ground on them and each other.

The summer months are upon us but the time is fleeting, at least for me so far, and before we know it, Tannehill will be throwing to receivers in the pre-season. Thereafter, within 3-5 real games we'll have a pretty good idea about the team's prospects.

I'm not overly optimistic right now.

Just the opposite for me. Tannehill finally has a mentor. the Team has a new Coach and a new direction. Philbin never should have been allowed to start last season. Campbell had no chance with none of his Coordinators , basically running Philbins sinking ship aground.

I really see Miami as a decent Team that had no direction , no ability to adapt. Now we have that. I see a 8-8 season at worst if the injury bug hits again. If the Oline stays health tannehill and this offense will gel. If Our defense stops letting teams explode in the second half and SUH is used properly and can adapt when other Teams attempt to triple team him, we will be harder to beat then predicted.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!
