I never said Landry was elite. I said he may be yet turn into an elite player. 13th in yards in his second year is a pretty good start. The addition of a true #1 WR on the same field is only going to make him better. He is already one of the best slot receivers in the game. One of the best at his position is the definition of elite.
Landry will be mentioned among the top slot receivers. He already is... Parker has a ways to go before he is mentioned with the best outside receivers. Let's see if he can play 16 games first.
I love Parker but he has to stay on the field first before he overtakes the likes of Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas....(just to name a few). I think he and Landry will form one of the best WR duos in 2015 for the record.
You want to correct me about inferring that Landry may become elite but you already call Parker elite? He may BECOME elite but to say he is already there is a little over the top. He's not in the Megatron/Antonio Brown class just yet.
The 28th ranked run defense doesn't need a run stuffing DT? Ask Zach Thomas why he was so successful and he will point you towards a guy name Tim Bowens. Not one DT not named Suh, was able to win one on one matchups last year. He was beating double teams while the other guys were getting pancaked by one guard.
I guess Williams is not useless. He is good for 3.9 yards per carry, 1 td and 200 yards from scrimmage I guess. What was I thinking?
Joe, my parameters and your parameters are obviously different.
Landry is an effort player but ordinary, he is not a beast. He is not a td threat, for all that volume of targets, 166, he doesnt score enough, and his average is low, 10 ypc. He is ordinary.
Parker is a beast, physically and play wise, 20 ypc. Parker can play the slot and in his sleep do what Landry does. Landry cannot play the boundary at 20 ypc.
Zach and Jason? No way. I watched both and neither was dominant like Parker.
If you set parameters at total production, longevity, pro bowls than yes, you are right. For me, those are wrong parameters. I look at traits.
Just look at the fact that Pouncey has been to multiple pro bowls, but not Nate Solder, and there are lopsided examples like this where inferior players get recognition. It's a joke. Traits rule.

Every past year I have bee saying BPAAPON (best player available at POSITION OF NEED). But I now feel we need the best player available and to me if Derrick Henry is there, take a seat on the bench Lamar.

That what they are doing with Buckner. They have a huge hole at 3-4 DE and already have Manti Teo and Denzel Perryman at ILB who they like.

Maybe but they have a huge need for a pass rusher....didn't you say CB's are not important?
> 5. Jax: should Treadwell, their receivers suck.
Now I know you are not doing your homework. Their WR's may be the best duo in the league. They are young (22 & 24) and produced 2400 yards and 24 TD's just between the top 2 WR's. Both were 1k receivers. Treadwell is a HUGE reach at 5! Treadwell = Michael Crabtree

That's a good pick for them as well.

I don't see it. He looks like a 4-3 only guy to me but who knows about them niners?
> 8. Phi: Stanley, Peters is in his 14th season
You of all people, say to take a lineman over a play maker like Elliott? They plan on eventually moving Lane Johnson to LT anyway.
Sounds like Tennessee is trying to move back up into the top 10 from 15. Trying to get an OT? like Stanley?
Damn I wish we had an opportunity to get those kind of picks. They are going to tear it up in the next two drafts. Can you imagine getting all these players in 1 year?....
Fanspeak mock simulator:
1: R1P15 OT JACK CONKLIN MICHIGAN STATE
2: R2P2 CB KENDALL FULLER VIRGINIA TECH
3: R2P12 DT VERNON BUTLER LOUISIANA TECH
4: R2P14 OLB KYLER FACKRELL UTAH STATE
5: R3P1 RB KENNETH DIXON LOUISIANA TECH
6: R3P13 OLB SU'A CRAVENS SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
And that's just the first 3 rounds!!!!! That would set us up for the year and fill every need!
Maybe they move with SF at 7 for Stanley and SF can take Lynch at 15?
Does anyone think the Browns will pass on a QB if the one they want is gone? If so, someone could trade up with them for a QB. SF? Philly? Maybe the Bears at 11?
I think the Titans almost have to take Goff. Wentz may be good but that's a ways out, IMO. He just didn't dominate the lower competition IMO as Goff did with 4713/43/13.
Do the Browns pass on Wentz in favor of Cook in 2 or Lynch with a trade down in 1?
I wish another QB or two would go in the top 12 so more elite talent drops to us! Maybe someone like SF, Chi or Phi will reach for Lynch.

Browns are trying to move out of #2. Sounds like they got a little jealous when they saw the boat load of draft picks Tennessee got for #1. Rumor is Philly is one of the potential trade partners.
Adam Schefter said the Browns were NEVER planning on taking a QB at 2. Wow! I bet they are planning on taking Connor Cook in round 2.
Miami was able to move from 12 to 3 for Jordan for only the 42nd pick even though the value chart says it's worth a number one pick (16 overall). Phi wants to move from 8 to 2 but they don't have a 2nd round pick! I doubt the Browns would consider giving up #2-OA even if the Eagles offered up both their #3 picks or even a future number 1.
More likely is SF at 7 but they don't really have the ammo either. They have a 2nd, 3rd, two 4ths and three 5ths but that's not very appealing IMO. I would want two 2nd round picks this year but the only team with two 2nds (they have 3) and a 1st is Tennessee. LOL. They could actually do it but who is worth it?
It's likely Cleveland has to stay at 2 and they skip a QB? This could get interesting! Lots of plot twists this year.
1 LA: Jared Goff
2 Cle: Laremy Tunsil
3 SD: DeForest Buckner
4 Dal: Joey Bosa
5 Jax: Jalen Ramsey
6 Phi: Carson Wentz (trade)
7 SF: Ezekiel Elliott
8 Bal: Ronnie Stanley
9 TB: Vernon Hargreaves
10 NYG: Myles Jack
11 Chi: Leonard Floyd
12 NO: A'Shawn Robinson
13 Mia: William Jackson III
14 Oak: Reggie Ragland
15 Ten: Jack Conklin
Now they say that Philly has an offer on the table to give up #8 and two 3rd rounders this year PLUS their #1 and a 3rd next year. If Goff goes number 1, this could happen as they covet Wentz.
WOW Philly is becoming the NFC Browns, didn't they just pay Bradford AND the backup a boatload of money?????? Anyway, takes one team out of the Zeke Elliott equation, maybe he falls to us?

Bradford - $35 million two year extension with $22 million guaranteed.
Daniel - $21 million three year deal with $12 million guaranteed.
They have a lot of money tied to quarterbacks and in all likelihood the second quarterback off the board. It is a surprising move from a team that got praise for their trades with us and the Titans and getting "bad" contracts off the books, only to tie themselves financially to two quarterbacks and give up a lot of picks to add a third quarterback.
As for Elliot, I am not sure it takes a team out of the equation. In fact, I think it possible just swaps the Browns in as a contender for Elliot. Maybe the memories of Trent Richardson as still too raw, but if they are going to ride with RGIII, McCown or a rookie quarterback, then they are going to need a strong running game. Elliot would give them exactly that, they can move Crowell to back up, and use Johnson in a Sproles like role. They'd need to grab a receiver or two in the draft but they could address that on day two or three, and they could grab a quarterback on day two as well. Overall, I think they have made a good move and will probably be considering Elliot as a possibility at #8, they could quite easily go in a different direction, but they are a potential contender for Elliot.

Sounds like Chip Kelly the GM may have rubbed off a bit. LOL
I don't think Elliott ( a top 4 talent) has any more of a chance to drop since the two QB's were always going in the top 10.....or 2, all along. He has to get past Dallas, Baltimore, SF, Cle, NYG not to mention the other teams that may decide to go BPA over need.
Dallas may be out now that BOTH starting DE's are suspended for the first 4 games. LMAO. Gregory and DeMarcus Lawrence! WTH???? They likely take Buckner or Bosa.
