This guy is a HUGE CB.

here's a thought.

IN college as a rookie he was a RB. Then they switched him to WR, then they switched him to CB.

At 6'4" 214, 4.51 in the 40

Any chance they plan on switching him back to WR? His attitude and ethic looks great...maybe he is the Ernest Wilford/Michael Irvin big possession guy?

interesting prospect.

At CB he looks pretty good, but almost essential against T.O. and Moss.

The panel on Sirius NFL Radio thinks he's a better fit as a free safety than as a corner. They said that both Bell and Wilson are guys that are better in the box, and that we needed a S who could play centerfield, and Smith fits that profile.

Interesting. I love his size and speed. He played everything in high School. The guy is an athlete.

seems a little like j allen--hope not

I guess we are set in the db dept for the rest of the draft

if we took smith with our 1st 2d and white with our 2d, I think everyone would feel better about the white pick, so we'll see

This guy is a mirror image to Nnamdi Asomugha. How can you go wrong with the 61st pick...and we get a bonus 5th rounder?

I'm hoping we pick up Scott McKillop, maybe in the 3rd round? We still need help at ILB.

Davis is more of a man coverage bump & run guy and Sean Smith will be a good Zone coverage guy when we play a quarters coverage scheme. He should be able to bat down some passes and come up with a few INT's w/ his receiver skills.

We just got bigger and stronger in our defensive backfield. And we increased our competition. I wouldn't write off Jason Allen just yet. His former team-mate at Tennessee who is now our starting free safety should help him play better from a communication stand point.

good point on j. allen according to coaches his problem isn't talent it's technique.he too often reverts back to bad habits and loses his technique. maybe having a familiar face will help. Smith is not a safety. he is a corner pure and simple
