at QB.

at RB.

at WR.

at Wildcat.

in the slot.

in the backfield.

out wide.

We didn't draft this guy to play QB.

We drafted this guy to be our offense.

Hopefully we can put 20-25 pounds on him.

20-25 lbs. would reduce how he plays. His 4.50 40 time is misleading; he has amazing game speed that would lack if he put on weight.

Maybe the next Jim Jensen.

This could be one of those 'steals' that is written about in 10 years.

the guy is an athlete

the guy can throw - long, short, quick outs.

He is a tiny bit short for QB. but if don't plan on going shot-gun ala Dan Marino/ Manning....who cares.

Move the chains, put 6 points on the board any way you can.

in hindsight not a huge surprise we took him--4 year starter, winner, leader, great character. all of which tuna values highly (except v davis for some reason). my problem is we took him when there were players on the board who would be starters for us--white will never start for us unless he somehow becomes a great wr--and he's never played that position and doens't want to. otherwise we used a high second on a 3d sting qb/gimmick player. the pats can make moves like that; we are not good enough to.

Well, Jim Jensen never really started for us either, but I don't think anyone on this board can deny how valuable he was for us. Without him we wouldn't have won many of the games we did.

Yeah, but knowing what you know now, wouldn't you say he was worth a 2nd rounder?

He is kind of an Antwan Randel El / Troy Brown type of player.

I wonder if he can play some nickle corner?

He looks real quick. Defenses will have to put that extra saftey in the box for the Wildcat formation and that will leave Ted Ginn in single coverage on the outside. Pat White throws a nice deep ball. He just has a long delivery.

Unfortunately his delivery is low on his short passes, so he'll get passes batted down a lot of he's asked to make those passes.

Franklin was great. Don't get me wrong. But who made a bigger impact on our offense during their career? I'd say Jensen.

Pat White (6'0 197)...think back to Kordell Stewart. Except the Dolphins are in a better postion to utilize his talents and don't NEED him to be THE quarterback.

He fills a need at WR and will start out at WR just like Stewart (6'1 218) and come in...in place of Pennington during the Wildcat package, giving us an extra weapon. One more than we had last year because CP was mainly taking up space. That means we can have on more WR or RB on the field.

He can play ST, WR, WC RB, QB2. Takes Slash to a whole new meaning.

The best part is that ...as surprise as everyone was...Belichick was stunned because he was planning on taking him at 58. He had grand delusions of ramming Pat White and the Wildcat down our throat after their embarrassing defeat at the hands of the WC. LOLOLOL! Instead he winds up with Sebastion Vollmer???? Huh?? Who???

I think he was still so pissed, he panicked. LOL.

Too bad..so sad.

plus now we CAN get rid of Ronnie and still run the wild-cat. This hurts Ronnie and his agent in contract talks.
