Chren new englands team clicks like that all the time.....
If this past sunday it was brady behind our center...it would had been 61-10. No mercy.
I want to see tannehill get to the next level.
I hate that every time the game is on the line he finds a way to throw an int...etc..
I want him to come through when the game is close.
I want him to find a way to win a game when the score is tight at the end of the 4th quarter. Because that time is going to come when we play tougher teams.
I know , you know what i mean.
He has the ability to get to the next level......He needs a teacher that can allow him to get in the run and shoot and allow him to make plays in open space....He is athletic enough for that.
I think it started this past sunday....He was allowed to run a few times..........That needs to continue....Because he can definetely take a hit.....
IMO he is a Qb built for contact....
He just needs to be smart about it and slide and dont take the big hit by the LB.
In the titans game when we got the ball at the 3 philbin would have protected his QB with 2 runs and a short pass. Campbell had him air it out.
They babied Tannehill for 3ys and 4 games. They're taking the training wheels off. You can't succeed if you never take chances and fail. He will learn from those mistakes and get better.
I want to see a more instictive QB that feels the pressure and gets out of the pocket. Opening up the playbook and letting him be himself should help.
SamSam, I saw the Patriots versus Colts which the Pats won but where there was constant pressure on Brady. yes, it was still a high scoring game but hopefully other teams take note and us most of all.

Exactly. I mentioned this point in my breakdown of the season thread. So far the only proven way to win against the Pats is to put Brady down hard and often and when you can't reach him make him throw on the run. If we let Brady take 3-5 seconds to throw its game over.
On topic about replacing RT, I will do my best to react objectively. RT is in my opinion the best QB talent wise this team has had since Marino. He has the physical and mental abilities to be a top tier QB.
Secondly and perhaps more importantly, if you get rid of RT who do you put in place of him that will succeed more than he will? Don't say Moore because any decent talent evaluator will tell you Moore is not an upgrade. Who is out there in the league who is/may be available next year. Kaepernick might be available. Brees is rumored to be on the trading block next year due to cap issues and a likely coaching change.
Do you draft a mid first rounder? That puts you in a position of a 2-3 year wait for peak performance with no guarantee that your draft pick even turns out to be good.
No, I think people need to realize that RT has the keys to this car for the foreseeable future and if we can line things up around him he can lead the team to success.
But let's not rush pass the fact that the scheme and the plays he is executing are different from the ones he did in the prior coaching administration.
4 tds that were 5 yard passes and 50 yard runs Henne had streaks and good statistical games. As another poster said, I want to see us win a game BECAUSE Of Tannehill not just WITH him. That will prove him a franchise far better than good(not great) stats against a 1-5 or 2-5 team. The team is playing better but let's not get ahead of pis elves about Hennehill...

Then why is Ryan Tannehill only the 64th QB since 1948 to do it? 67+ years!
