Now that we've been with our new logo and unis for the past couple years, and the initial shock of change has worn off somewhat, how is it sitting with everyone today?
I'll start off by saying I love it. I was a little underwhelmed at first.
But, as i see it more, and compare it with our older versions, I think it's a lot better, and I'm definitely more proud to rock the stickers and gear.
They'll be using throwback jerseys and old logos this season so everyone should be happy.
New logo was probably good for merchandise sales. Bringing back old logo on occasion will also be good for mdse sales. Winning a championship would be GREAT for mdse sales!
I dont like the throw backs, they arent legit.. Since they got rid of the sleeves, it just doesn't look like a throwback with how they handled the sleeve striping and moving the number from the sleeve to the shoulder pad.....
I kind of like the new logo in gold against the aqua, that has been floating around lately...

I dont think it is a logo at all. Just a pic of a dolphin.
The colors are ok, but why change to the blue which a few other teams have. We were the only team with aqua.
I ask in every team/merchandise store that i go to; how the new gear is selling and most say people are still asking for the old logo.
There was a survey that i had bookmarked in my laptop and looked at recently where the haters out numbered the lovers.
I didn't like the old logo for the simple reason that it was too cartoonish but, what I did like about it over the present design is that it better followed the flow of the helmet, it fit better. Win a few division titles and a few playoff games and these "logo" threads disappear forever.
The so called throw back uniforms I like...more than the current uniform. The logo--really our mascot--depicts a bottlenose porpoise....nothing more, nothing less. While the earlier versions were more cartoonish, they fit the mascot role better, IMHO. To me the current iteration is nothing special, nothing to write home about.
The throwback uniforms are much better than the new. As another poster said, keep the throwbacks and use the new as the throwbacks. Make sense? LOL.
Need to use the throwbacks more than just one game.
One of my problems with the new unis is the color is pretty much the same as the Panthers (without the black). To me, the blue looks the same. The all white is good (not great), but again, Miami looks like the Panthers with the dark jersey.
I also liked the stripes on both the old helmet and the pants.

Or, use the current one as throw-UPs. Because they cause so many fans to puke.
I'm holding onto the good luck theory that SOON we'll get a Super Bowl championship after changing the new uniforms, the way that the Broncos did as well as the Bucs and Patsies (although ours will be without cheating)
I hate the logo but the rest of the uniform is kind of growing on me. I won't buy anything with the new logo on it. still looks like a dolphin taking it up the butt

That's a big issue for me. My Kids used to get me Dolphins trinkets all the time. Now we wait for "Classic" reissue Logo T shirts and memorabilia . On one hand we have saved a lot of money! I wear a lot of new "faded" Old Logo shirts that are made to look old when new.
I have a #17 Tannehill Jersey from his first season with the Old Logo that I wear a lot. I wanted a SUH , but passed on that new Logo. I have a funny suspicion that 4 yrs into this new logo sales are slowing. Hence the "throw back" day. However The New Stadium is being embossed with the Ghey Dolphin everywhere as we speak.
Ross wont be here forever. I guarantee the first line of business for any new owner will be to bring back the Old Logo or at least a cool new version of it. Oh Well.

In just a few short years Ross will sell the team and we will be back to the original anyways...........
I dont know, it seems to me they are going to get rid of the orange all together.. Look at the uniforms, look at the new stadium colors, orange is all but gone.. A little trim in the sun burst that is all... I actually like the new logo with the gold Dolphin better then the multicolor. A gold Dolphin and the aqua might look cool... It doesnt look as cheesy in the gold..

I think this forum is somewhat therapeutic for me.
I was beginning to worry that most fans caved in.
it is rough when you go to a game so many fans are wearing new gear.
On another note, just knocked over one of my pint glasses with old logo of course. May need to start looking on ebay for replacements.

I was warming up to it but knew I would never "love it". Then I saw the beautiful throwbacks the team will wear in December and I knew I was just kidding myself on the new logo. I am an old school dude, period. LOL

I think that most of the "old school" contingent that strongly prefer the old logo, are being biased by the nostalgia that they associate with it.
The Kiick/Csonka/Morris years, the Marino years, all have favorable memories tied to their versions of the logo.
Unfortunately, the original logo was lame to begin with(que gasp).
It looked like a special-ed dolphin, doing a little trick for the crowd as seen at a sea world exhibit. Just bad.
Well, JC, like I say about Donald Trump and his 20% of a MINORITY political party, ....you can find that that same percentage of people like salt in their coffee....but you'd go bankrupt selling pre-salted coffee.

Dolphins celebrate 50 yrs next year. (I was born in 66' also )
Yes 45 yrs of that logo or something that at least resembled it means something to the fans. An update would have been fine. They Ghey assed guppy needs to go.
Not my intent to antagonize but this is just too easy. I find it very ironic that the one worried most about "team fashion" is continually using the term "gay" or "ghey" as a derogatory adjective used to bash the new logo/fashion sense. Will you be publishing a "NFL worst dressed" issue to go along with this critique?

Damn! Like a guy called me at a domino tournament last saturday night when we started arguing about accuracy of our memories about he Watts riot and I asked him how old he was in 1965, and he said he had been 5 years old, and I proudly responded " Well, I was 15" to which he responded, "Well you're just an old motherf*cker."
In 1966, the year you were born, I entered Purdue University as a Freshman and became a follower of its football team and its quarterback, Bob Griese. I had not rooted for any pro team and did not until the next fall, the fall of 1967. Guess which team?
