This was a tough one. I have to think that with them pursuing a trade for a WR so hard, they don't want to take on in the first round. They want one to contribute right away. They should get Edwards.
It was between Laurinaitis and CB. Kiwanuka moves back to SLB, they signed Boley for WLB and have Pierce at MLB.
They need a safety but no high rated SS fit their profile. They are all pretty short and kind of small.
No OT worthy of this pick.
Sam Madison is gone and who knows what they will get from Webster. He played well at the end of the season but too little too late.

I don't think so. But to each his own. For my tastes, too many analysts view Matthews as a 1st & 2nd down LB that will have trouble in coverage as an ILB. I'm not taking a guy like that who is a former walk on and who has been linked to steroids with my first pick. I doubt Parcells would either.
I think you have it backwards. Mathews is viewed as the nickle LBer and Cushing had issues that he could only be a two down LBer.
sorry for taking so long. I kept checking and check and saw no changes and looked later and there was a bunch of posts...I don't know what happened. I must of looked at the 3rd page instead of the 4th. I don't know.???

HAHA! Their war room will *REALLY* be like that if this was to happen come Saturday. Johnson could go as high as 7 to Oakland...and I think without a shadow of a doubt Houston will pick Clay Matthews at 15.

20- Detroit... Eben Britton, OT - ARIZONA
21- Philadelphia...Brandon Pettigrew, TE - OKLAHOMA ST
22- Minnesota...Percy Harvin, WR - FLORIDA
23- New England...Brian Cushing, OLB -USC
24- Atlanta...Malcom Jenkins, DB - OHIO ST
25- Miami...Larry English, OLB Northern Illinois
26- Baltimore...Ray Maualuga, ILB - USC
27- Indianapolis...Peria Jerry, NT - Ole Miss
28- Buffalo...Vontae Davis, CB - Illinois
29- NY Giants...Darius Butler, CB - UCONN
30- Tennessee...
Detroit pick fills a need but I'm not sure the value between Britton and what they could have gotten in the 2nd in much different. I would have gone for the BPA on defense. They really need the help and need an impact defensive player
Philly: logical pick that helps in the running game and passing game.
Minnesota: consensus pick
NE: It's possible but I personally don't like the roid freak much especially when Maualuga is there.
Atlanta: Jenkins may not even be able to play CB which they need and they are ok at FS. They need a DT, DE, LB and SS more. English, Jerry or a top CB would have been more logical.
Miami: would not be too disappointed but we have too many projects at OLB and need a CB and WR more IMO but I know Phinsfan2's reasoning all too well.
Baltimore: Good value pick but they also need a WR.
Indy: Great pick for Indy. they would be lucky to have him drop this far especially with Atlanta and Detroit needing a DT.
Buffalo: With Mcgee, McKelvin and newly signed nickle Cromartie, they are ok at CB and have a desperate need at DE, WLB, OG, & TE but I like this pick because it saddles Buffalo with a man child, pot smoking underacheiver. They had the 13th ranked pass D last year and should be ok with #11 pick McKelvin taking over. They ranked 26th in sacks and their best guy is coming off an injury. Michael Johnson, Clay Mathews, Connor Barwin and Alex Mack would have helped more.
Tennessee: I could really see them doin this but they should take Nicks, Britt or Robiskie IMO.
Arizona: Fills a need and is good value but They have no RB and can't afford to wait & see what's available at #63. Donald Brown or LeSean McCoy would be my choice. Not a bad pick though.

Come on now. he will play Corner. Its funny how a half a second slower 40 at the combine can drop somebody out of the top 10 (which is where he goes if he runs a 4.4) and people think the guy isnt the best corner because of it.
He is still the best corner and everybody that passes over him (and need a C because of his 40 is going to regret it. The guy is a playmaker when the shoulder pads are on. Thats when it matters most. His game speed is much faster than his "combine speed" if you know what I mean.
Also the real reason why I had Jenkins going to Atlanta is because I just cant see Mike Smith drafting Vontae Davis. Davis is trouble and coaches like Sparano, Smith, Billicheck they wont touch Davis. So, their *HUGE* need at Corner could only be filled by the BPA in Jenkins.
Steelers: This is all going to come down to value. there is great depth at Center this year and the Steelers will probably wait and take on in round 2. They have needs for depth at CB, NT, DE, WR , OG and OT but can afford to take the best players available. That should be a WR is this draft but they take this versatile player who can play Center, Guard and Tackle and they can plug him in where they need him.

Really? I looked at that but they just signed a FA WLB in Boley. He played SLB in Atlanta but Capers said they will use his speed on the weak side. They needed a SLB but Kiwanuka is moving back and the knock on Mathews is that he does not play the run well and is more of a nickle LB'er.
