Is that what he told you? If Vontae, Maualuga, and Lauranitis isn't there what do you think about Macho Harris?

I think Malcolm Jenkins is more long the lines of a BP player.

Vontae has serious issues about maturity and attitude...plus he baby talks like Mike Tyson and it drives me nuts.

Unless some top ranked player like Maualuga or Everette Brown drops, the next Miami Dolphin will be one of these players.

Hakeem Nicks, Kenny Britt, Darius Butler or Sean Smith.

...select KNOWSHON MORENO RB.

And trade him to the ARIZONA CARDINALS for their #31 and #131.

Then take SEAN SMITH #31.

I think the Broncos will draft Moreno to offset the loss of Cutler. They will need a running game to help out Simms or Orton.

I also think Beanie will be gone too.

Unless somebody unexpectedly drops, there isn't suppose to be a lot of value at #25 that teams want bad enough to give up picks.

The most likely will be a team in need of a WR like Nicks or Britt or a CB like Butler or Smith.

It wouldn't bother me if he talked like Truman Capote much less Mike Tyson, but if he's got attitude problems, I don't want him either.

Kind of like giving up a draft pick for a disgruntled 29 year old receiver that wants a new contract and 10 million a year?

Talk about dream shopping.

I want Larry English at 25. I don't know why he isn't getting that much attention. There are a lot of intriguing linebackers in this year's draft, but English looks like an absolute stud to me. I think having English, Wake, and Porter in the mix at OLB could give us a lot to work with in terms of the pass rush.

I am starting to like English more and more. He isn't getting the attention because the media is mesmerized by combine results and he did not do well.

Mayock called him the best pass rusher in the draft. I wouldn't be disappointed but I would rather have a CB or WR and see what Wake and the other guys can do. Maybe we get lucky and get him at 44.

English was my original projection as Miami's pick a few weeks ago. Because he's explosive, the best pass rusher of the bunch, and he was more or less under the radar. After Matthews and others go, I figured he would be one of the few premium defensive guys left and a no brainer. But he's getting more attention now.

If it comes down to English or a corner, I'd take English hands down. If he's gone, there's others then in the next rounds - Barwin, Kruger, Sidbury, etc. There's a lot of good guys.

Anyway, I hope we don't spend the first pick on a corner. I'd rather spend the money on pass rushers to pressure the QB, if that's the case.

We need a real premium guy at 25, a playmaker (Like English, or Nick, etc). If all these types of guys are taken, then I'd much rather just go back to the lines and draft Brace, or Duke Robinson or Britton or somebody, then skill positions in the 2nd round.

So it all depends on how it shakes out.

The maturity issues with Davis bother me as well..... I think Miami will shop the pick, particularly if there is a team behind that is coveting a player that more than one team wants, but Miami does not....

I don't think Denver will draft Moreno, they have FAR too many defensive issues, and probably aren't way too happy with Orton.

Why would we make that trade? ---PF2

Trading back from #25 to #31 to acquire a 4th rounder only.... because we'd be able to select the same player CB SEAN SMITH.

And the choice #131 thats a late 4th round selection. And it has plenty of value when you consider players like TE CORNELIUS INGRAM CB MIKE MICKENS and even WR BRANDON GIBSON are projected to be selected in that area.

It still doenst work that way DD. Its about points.

For us to trade back that much there would have to be something like an additional 2nd round pick in 2010 on top of what you are proposing to make that trade possible.

And just because Ingram, Gibson and Mickens are good players in your mind doesnt mean the Trifecta gives a crap about them.

You're right. Denver does need serious defensive help. They could have really improved the defense. IF they still had Cutler, they would have been set on offense.

McDanield had his choice of which team to deal with. He could have gotten a much higher pick in round 1 but decided to go with Chicago because of Orton so I don't know why you would think he is not happy with him. He thought Orton was the best guy available to run his offense. He is not JC and will need help around him to be successful. He had a running game in Chicago and did pretty good.

Now it comes down to McD having to save face for the Cutler debacle. Do you really think he is going to put Orton and the offense in a position to fail? He will be run out of town on a rail if the top 5 offense drops too far this year. That is why I think he will take someone who can make the biggest impact on offense.

They have nothing but retreads and backups at the RB spot and have been relying on Denver's zone blocking scheme for years to make average RB's look great. Shanahan is gone and so are those days. They have struggled running the ball for the past couple of years and have not been able to rely on that old philosophy.

Lamond Jordan, Correll Buckhalter and JJ Arington are the new RB's that team up with Selvin Young and a few other practice squad players in addition to Peyton Hillis at FB.

They are all perennial underachievers. CB has never been able to stay healthy even as a backup and will be 32 in October. Jordan had a few good years but will be 31 in November.

With the 12 and 18th pick they have the opportunity to add an impact player on both sides of the ball. They will have to take Moreno at 12 unless they want to lose him and can add a pass rusher like MAybin or English or a DE like Tyson Jackson at 18. They also need a NT but Raji should be gone by 12. That's my take.
