I should have said it made everybody on the OLine look bad and the distraction probably was the reason they were playing so poorly...

Notice when we put other players that were backups on their place , we then started gelling as a OL..

And the replacements were nothing but backups.

Not as good as our O-Line has played this year.

I love the fact that satele is playing solid football. Because of his resurgence Pouncy can dominate at RG. Finally we should have a dominate O-line here forward.

Iggy gave up 6 sacks in 8 games last year. That's horrendous.

That had a lot to do with Martin IMO. Once he was gone the whole line improved. He was once a great Olineman. You can't ever say that about Jonathan Vagina.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Well I think the Satele/Pouncey experiment failed. Time to move Pouncey back to center and find the best right guard. When you can;t run up the middle on the NFL's worst run defense, you have issues.

As long as our pass blocking doesn't break down with Pouncey at Center.

Why would that happen? he gave up 2 sacks all of last year on that pathetic line.

The center is also responsible for calling out blocking schemes. He's more than just a fat guy in the middle. He's the QB of the O-Line.

Ok but now you are insinuating that he has failed at making line calls. Where is the evidence of that?

At this point? The crappy pass blocking we've had ever since Posey played center. Pass blocking isn't about individual skill as much as it is about blocking scheme and the line working together. If Posey goes back to center and our good pass blocking continues (creating that pocket for Tanny to step up in, and giving him time to scan the field) then I'll be fine with Posey at center. On the other hand, if we go back to the way things were the last few years....then Posey is the problem!

As I mentioned on an earlier post, Joe, this isn't the first time our running game has failed against the league's worst running defense.
