Id be more confortable if the lions game was a home game.

What's going to be difficult for Miami are the teams that have a top D-line like Buffalo. Our O-line is improved but they haven't really established an identity for toughness. We won't get that until we fix the interior so they can compete with anyone. Satele is not a physical player, he is finesse. Pouncey is not playing well at RG yet.
Detroit has a monster D-line. That's why I think they will give us trouble. They can rush the passer from the interior which doesn't bode well for Miami as well as from the outside. Look at how much damage Jay Ratcliff did last week. Fortunately (and hopefully) the coaches have figured out they need to get RT out of the pocket more often to give those defenses a little hesitation.
I'm not too worried about any offense in particular but it's the teams with stout defenses that can give us trouble.
SD is also a top defense this year. #5 in yards allowed.
Our next games....Jax, SD, Det, Buf, Den, Jets, Ravens ALL have top defensive lines and all but Jax have top defenses overall.
Tannehill on the move will be key. Especially when teams start having to put a spy on him. Then it's 11 on 11 instead of 11 on 10. Even worse scenario if we find a receiving threat that demands a constant double team.
After all the Miami criticism, the ironic part is that we are one play away from....
a 4-2 record
a 3 game winning streak
a potential 4 game winning streak
being a half game out of first place
being considered a top 10 team in the NFL
being one of the hottest teams in the league.
The good news is that we have shown we can compete with the top teams in the NFL. The offense is on the upswing that started at halftime of the GB game.
If we go out and do to Jacksonville what we did to Oakland I'll start to believe.
Top teams in this league beat other top teams at home (NE), beat playoff contenders on the road (CHI), and pummel the worst teams in the league (OAK & JAX?).
That's very true Truth. The only part that has me optimistic (please shoot me) is the manner in which we have improved. It happened during the Oakland game and with the exception of a few slow quarters vs GB, the offense has started to gel. It's been fairly steady and you can see how comfortable RT is getting in the offense. He is just playing and not pressing.
It took the Eagles even longer to get going last year. They were 3-5 at the mid-point of last year. They finished the season winning 7 of the last 8. Ironically, it started with a win over Oakland.
Now RT is starting to look like Foles with those 100+ QB ratings.

I hear you Joe. I can feel the momentum headed in the same direction. Frankly someone would have to be blind, or a troll, not to see the huge progress this team has made on both sides of the ball.
I've just been let down by this franchise sooooo many times that they are going to have to show me consistent progress instead of the maddening inconsistency of a .500 team.
No. You're not. You're not very objective. You like attention. You like posting polls and owning that thread as if it's a matter of life and death.
The easiest way to get a attention is to continually gripe about the person with the easiest target to hit. The Coach. You can't be objective about him. You go as far as claiming "he must have done this..he must have done that" when there's no way of knowing unless you were in that lockerroom. Yet you harp on it so much that you convince yourself that it HAS to be true.
So no, we're not in the same boat. I'm objective. You're not.
You have no sense of humor either so that would make for an excruciating ride having to explain every joke.
