He gave up 7 sacks in something like 9 games. His last contract was 2 years 6.2 mil. He would probably not get that much again but still may be pretty expensive for a backup.
We paid Clabo 3.5 mil for one year.
McKinnie will be 36 years old in September. Clabo will be 33 in October.
Veteran minimum is 955k for 10+ years of experience. I don't see him agreeing to that though.
Nate Garner makes 1.8 mil this year.
How many offensive lineman did we keep last year? 8 or 9?
McKinney:
1 yr contract. 2 million. Sign him as back up for both Tackle positions and let him compete in camp. I think he would be a much better person to teach James then Pouncy. We might need the depth in Nov'Dec.......

Sure! He could teach James where all the best strip clubs are! I'm not sure I'd want either Pouncey or McKinney as a mentor.

And that's not important?
If the NFL thinks men will stop being men because of J Martins baby momma issues , then they have a lesson coming to them. These are GROWN MEN. Not children. They have been taught by their parents (or not taught in J Martins case)by respected coaches /players in their schools. They will make good or bad decision's on their own. Don't blame Mike Pouncey or Iggy for any of it.
Just having a veteran guy like McKinny Floating around can play both sides , offering suggestions, there as depth would be a huge Insurance policy for the Team and help the Team in the long run.
Thanks for the data on Smith I feel better about him now. I think Thomas will show more this year too. I also like Turner. I remember watching the FCS playoffs and noticing him dominate at LT. Also watched the FCS championship and again he dominated. Hopefully we have the right personal at guard this year.

They also have a lot not in common.
Philbin believes in competition and giving the Job to the best person qualified. Obama.......not so much.
Shula had already established himself as a greatfootball mind before he arrived to the phins.
Philbin's mind was overrated prior to his arrival.
Philbin believes in getting rid of the best people qualified for the job. Long, Bush Fasano and keeping the nuts. Yep Jim Turner and Mike Sherman were very qualified for their positions.
Obama gets positive results, on fighting terror, the economy, supporting individuals over corporations.

Unless Obama has just been hired by the Dolphins, let's leave ideological politics discussions to the other message boards.

What's the point? You can't argue with ignorance. You just point it out once in awhile when you're bored. This is the guy who said UFA, Brock Jensen would push Tannehill for a starting spot.
