I think Hickey gave it his all and is trying to think outside the box. Like its been said 50 times already, only time will tell. But I'm content now because the team seems to have a plan and a direction. Time will tell if its a good one , but at least this draft doesn't look like it was picked from a dart board the night before . Landry is either a steal or a bust. He looks really tough and physical, kind of like Orande Gadsen was. They didn't wait for the ball , they went up and got it. Should be one of the more fun Pre seasons I can remember.

Treasure, just between me and you are you taking drugs?

You do realize that the Dolphins signed Wallace to HELP Tannehill orginally right???

The league is one with GREAT QB play. Have you heard of guys named Manning, Brady, Brees? Just a hint here, but Tannehill is NOT in that list.

Pretty much EVERYONE but you questions this draft.

The plan so far appears to be get rid of your best offensive weapon and draft a slower then dirt WR. Of course that is being done because they know Tannehill cannot throw the deep ball so Wallace is a useless weapon.

It appears you like the run 1st and 2nd down approach of Soprano and Wanny. P.S that does not win in the NFL.

No, dolphin, if by "question" you mean "criticize".

Does mostly everyone have "questions" whether it will all work out? Absolutely.

I'm in the wait and see category but it kinda looks better than Ireland.

Your an idiot. drinking smiley

Now that we have established that I'll even explain why.

You seem enamored with big numbers, stats, and names. We had the best pure passer the NFL has ever seen for 17 yrs and what did it get us? You need to build a Team. The Problem with the Wanny and soprano era is they kept trying to punch a square peg into a round hole. Over and over and over. They were idiots and of course you idolize that approach.

Something doesn't work , you change it. That's what intelligent people do. Something DOES work.....you don't get rid of it.

Think about what you are saying. Just listen for a second. You have a young Rookie back that has done what no other QB in 14 yrs has managed to accomplish. In fact he set rookie records that NO OTHER franchise QB has accomplished.

You have a free agent reciever that was great somewhere else. Tannehill has thrown for over 1000 yds in two seaons with Hartline.

Hmmmmmmm is your sad little mind starting to see the clouds part a little?

You want us to toss out one of the best QB prospects this Team has seen in decades, the hardest position to find, that has had great success for a receiver who was able to adapt to another QB's style of play somewhere else.

Do you see how backwards your approach is? You want to keep a fast receiver and find a QB to adapt to HIS style of play. Really bro?

I'm sorry. I really try to respect others here and you are entitled to your opinion , you really are. But its a stupid one and makes no sense and thank god we seem to finally have front office staff that agree.

Mr Spock would think of you as highly illogical. thumbs down

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

treasure FIRST you say i like the bombs away approach, then you say I like the run every down approach. You really can't comprehend can you? I feel bad for you honestly I do.

Here let me give you some more clues to work with

You do realize that your savior Tannehills stats are almost identical to Hennes in their first year as a starter correct? Here they are below to make it easier for you to think. Who is who?

Miami Dolphins
282 484 58.3 3,294 6.8 12 13 35 234 76.1 49 211 4.3 2 9 4
Miami Dolphins
274 451 60.8 2,878 6.4 12 14 26 176 75.2 16 32 2.0 1 4 0

You continue to babble on about Tanneys 3900 yards as if that is some great number, so you realize Henne would have had close to 3800 yards base on his average game right? so are you now going to say Henne was great????

I'm enamored with big numbers? yet you talk about 4000 years LOL...

P.S tannyehill doesnt work, he needs to be changed out.

He's got big mittens, and the ball just seems to gently fall in his hands as if they were pillows. Nice receiver this Landry.

I really like the Dolphins approach on this. Tannehill is the man. They are exhausting every possible opportunity to get him receivers that he can work with. Hartline is a given. Wallace not so much. he had great chemistry with Big Ben but its not working with Tanny. Getting him support and people that work with his strengths and not forcing the issue on weaknesses will win ball games. thumbs up

Comparing Henne To Tannehill really? or should I say "trying" to compare.

First off...You tried to compare Henne's "first year" to RT's, except that wasn't Henne's first year. IT WAS HIS SECOND! After sitting for a year behind one of the smartest QB's of all time AND 47 COLLEGE STARTS. Tannehill had 20 college starts.

In Henne's first year he had 67 yards.

Maybe Henne isn't the best comparison to use if you're trying to make RT look bad.

2013 stats (Henne's 6th year! RT's 2nd year)

Henne 3,241 13 td's 14 int's
RT 3,913 24 td's 17 int's

Tannehills 2nd year more closely resembled Tom Brady's 14th season than Chad Henne in his best year. Henne has never had more than 15 TD's in his entire career.

Based on the progression of Ryan Tannehill thus far, his 3rd year should look something like this....

4,300 yards, 32 TD's and 15 int's. He will be a top 10 QB in 2014. Considering he already ranked 10th in yards and 12th in TD's last year, it's not that big of a stretch.

Just FYI, for 2013 that is more yardage than...

Joe Flacco
Tony Romo
Andrew Luck
Eli Manning
Cam Newton
Russell Wilson
Alex Smith
RG3
Colin Kaepernick

thumbs upgreat stuff. I like the defense of tanehill who gets a really bum rap by some on here. He's not perfect but he's shown enough good stuff to give him some slack and another year to prove himself

As far as Wallace goes, at worst he's an important speedy decoy. I'm hoping with a better o'line that Tanny can translate practices to games. It takes time to develop a chemistry. These two really need to work hard together to make things right on the deep stuff.

Let's not forget what Lazor could bring to the table to help make this happen; working with Tanny's strengths -- I expect to see a lot of roll-outs from Tanny. He throws very well on the run which is his best attribute, and Lazor isn't the same animal as Mike Sherman. Sherman is a stubborn old goat who insisted on keeping Tanny in a pocket that would disintegrate rapidly or not exist at all.

I'm loving the depth and all the possibilities at receiver right now.

Glad your willing to give the best QB prospect the Dolphins have had in 15 yrs another shot bro. eye rolling smiley

As for Philbin.....I think you need to take a step back your sounding a bit biased on him now. Guy has a Ton of good qualities and needs to make better decisions for sure, but your hatin on him just a bit unfairly now.

Last season was a unfair test. Maybe a Great test in retrospect. What happened to the Miami Dolphins just came out of no where because we drafted the worst example of a man to ever graduate from a college in J. Martin.

Take away bully gate and the Dolphins are in the wild card game easy. That said I still think Philbin handled it as well as he could have. The weird relationship with Sherman is over. Just hating on him for the sake of it makes no sense.

Just imagine if we drafted any one of these guys over J-Mart....

Alshon Jeffrey WR
Bobby Wagner LB
Lavonte David LB

Or moved up 1 spot and took Cordy Glenn....

Any of those (top) three picks would have saved us from the huge contracts of Wheeler or Wallace.

Don't buy that at all. We played better in the midst of the scandal than we did before. You can't pin the losses in the final 2 games on bully gate since that had died down by then.

The collapse for the last 2 games resides 100% with Phlimflam.

No need to look anywhere else (for excuses)!

A strong HC would NOT have lost those 2 games...

I mean let's get real. Can you imagine Shula in his prime dumping like that?????

That's because they all huddled together as a team during that time. They knew the truth and it made them closer. As soon as that Jack ass got full exposure to the entire team/players/questioning them during workouts /interrupting meetings.........it definitely blew them apart. By December the Team was not a Team anymore. Everyone was scared to fart wrong . Eyes everywhere. . It must have sucked.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!
