What was Tanneyhill thinking? Probably just hoping to get out of this game alive!
Start over? No way - not gonna put up with many more years of rebuilding and losing while doing so.

Chryen, can't agree that it is all on Philbin. Granted, he is the HC and the buck stops with him, but his coaches need to pick it up (if they are able) and Ireland is the one who picks the players. Does Philbin get involved in player selection, I don't know, but I would guess he does?
The players are the ones on the field not making the plays. Everyone on the team, from Ireland on down to the waterboy, were looking pretty good until the Bills disaster. What happened?
No, these problems are a team effort; no one escapes this.
LOL. Not saying that the rest of the team is doing great, Cap. But saying that it is naive to think that ultimately, if the offense is not clicking, there is no consultation. Same thing goes for the Defense and consultation with the DC.
Where there is consultation, then there is shared liability. A lot of these people on the board are calling for Sherman's head alone, Ireland's head alone, etc., and now even Coyle's head alone.
I say (and maybe this is where your buck stops philosophy comes in) that when the same mistakes are made over and over and over, then the head guy either is
a) completely asleep,
b) completely clueless
OR
c) completely COMPLICIT.
