I can't remember under what circumstances Charles De Gaulle said it but he said, "Ou est la force reserve?"

That almost miracle lost makes me wonder. It should not have come that close. I don't mean the whole game. I mean that last play.

Come on, what's up?????

Forward lateral by Big Ben would have gotten it called back anyways.

That play only happens in that weather. Just look at the MIN-BAL ending.

I'll "third" that...but I'm glad that a foot stepping out of bounds is what officially did the Steelers in. They have problems knowing where the sideline is at the end of a game, don't they!

They wouldn't have called it. We're the only team in contention w/ the Patriots (slim chance as it may be) and they have paid someone off in the NFL.

I thought of that too.....makes the foot out of bounds even more funny.

What wasn't funny to me (speaking of what the refs called) is that The Patsies got yet another win based upon a borderline pass interference call. They really need to come up with a non-flagrant version of this penalty, saving the 1 -yard line placement for more severe infractions, while a hand on the receiver would get maybe 15 yards from LOS max. And while they're at it, the NFL can also stop kissing Brady's backside any time they'd like. It is nauseating.

I agree with that...but at least the ref's gift would be limited to a first down in cases like this....although I could still see them calling a hand grazing the jersey as a flagrant foul when Brady is involved.

This was our most complete game of the year. A come from behind to win it in the 4th qtr "shootout" against Big Ben, on the road, where we had never won before. Bring on the Cheats.

What's up with the web site? It goes all crazy at times and wont let content to be accessed.

Anybody else having issues?

Great win...I almost had a heart attack on the final play.

Dang, was that the Miami DOlphins??? A ROAD WIN IN DECEMBER IN BAD WEATHER WHEN OUR PLAYOFF CHANCES ARE ON THE LINE????smiling bouncing smiley

Haven't felt this good in nearly a decade!

Not going over the top yet, we've only beat two teams with a winning record but hey, that was a good start to TWO HUGE games for us and we pulled it off.

If we repeat it next week I promise, I Won't say anything bad about Tannehill until...well...at least next spring...

It freezes during excessive traffic. There were about 20-25 posts between the end of the game and about midnight eastern time, although I myself could properly post until after then.

Looks okay now.

Absolutely a forward lateral. The play would have been reversed either way... But still -- more than too scary and you can bet something they'll be practicing on this week...

This site has frozen before several times right after a game when we the fans need to celebrate or, more often, need to vent.

Curt offered us a better performing site at a modest fee based trade-off. This is something that we should reconsider for faster refresh times, less problems with tracking cookies and, it would tend to weed out the kiddies and fans from other teams.

Maybe along the order of Fin Heaven with a free section and a "Members only" section.

Maybe Curt could spell out the details of cost and benefit.
If this site freezes with only 20 or so posters then an upgrade is probably due.

That game was fantastic, and we did luck out at that end of the game follies. Thank god his foot went out of bounds, as if he didn't that would be played forever in the history books as the craziest play ever.

I will pass that along to Curt. In the meantime, allow me to remind everyone of a way to earn Curt a little bit of money at no cost to you:

If you shop at Amazon (who doesn't?), use Curt's link to lead you to the site. The link is at the lower left part of the main page, in the aqua colored column and says "phins Amazon.com." All you do is click on that link before you start your shopping session. IT merely takes you to Amazon's main page and you log in and shop as normal. Because of the click-thru from phins.com Curt gets a little bit of cash when you shop this way, instead of just typing www.amazon.com. It will add up for him, especially with all the holiday shopping.

OK here's the latest regarding the board freezing and stuff:

Within the next day or two Curt is going to perform a cleanup routine on the database which should speed things up and hopefully prevent the same type of issues so that we can all post in live time as we beat the Pats.

For those of you wishing to contribute to The Cause, Curt has added a "donate" button on the lower left side of the main page, under the Amazon link I mentioned earlier. What's more: all the links under "Support phins.com" in that lower-left section earn money for the site, even though I'd only mentioned the Amazon link previously.

Thanks for reading and go Phins.
