He reported that Parcells told him that.

He also reported that Parcells told him he had to take it back over in 2010.

He also didn't say it was the truth, only that it was Parcells story.

Your point? I guess anybody can lie about anything... Everything anybody tells you about themselves in a situation is only their story... Maybe the reporters stories are only their story of events as well,, interpreted, expressed, and framed with their own different intent of the story to fit their needs or agenda... Maybe it is all just make believe, one big spin... I am not even sure if the NFL really exist... I bet they c.g.i. all of those other stadiums, teams, and fans every week... Maybe all of the games are predetermined by the league to develop the most exciting drama each week, like WWE ... I bet you it is all just some guy like Walt Disney, pulling a "Truman Show" on all of us.....

My point is that Parcells is Parcells. He's going to protect himself and his legacy above and beyond anything else. its who he is.

If that's the part you want to take as the truth of the matter...go ahead. But if you don't consider the source its on you.

Like I've said on this from day won...I'll take the consensus of the people covering the team over this period of time...they have far more access to the truth than you or I.



fyi...just tweeted the same question to Omar, Armando and ben volin asking where they would draw the line for blame/credit to Parcells/Ireland.

I think asking Armando what he believes will be the most interesting on this topic, because he is the one, that claimed to have the first hand insight from Parcells... Omar you already know the answer, and we all know his credibility isnt exactly shining these days... Ben would be interesting as well...

It just makes too much sense. Parcels is the poster child for megalomania. All you have to do is look at his history and how he treats people.

2010 was probably a power struggle between Ireland and Parcels after tension over some of the prior choices. I think Parcel got mad because Ireland was not acting like a puppet and doing everything Parcels wanted so he quit...just like he always has....He took his ball and went home. ("Ball" being the millions of dollars he stole)

I dont think the reporters have very good insight into what goes on behind close doors in the FO... I think they get a small view from time to time, where the FO, knows they are being watched... They see what the FO wants them to see... I think most of the reporters unless giving you a direct quote or named source, our just speculating on the fragment of information they have knowledge to draw much larger conclusions...
I would much rather read this site and members insight whether I agree or not, then 90% of the crap I hear from local reporters... For example guys like Omar take a position and then spend all of their time trying to write stories to back the strong position they took somewhere, and that corrupts the integrity of their journalism, yet they do it under the guise of being a journalist with integrity... At least around here, we all do it as members of a sharing community...lol
Around here it is like a think tank, everybody brings what they see, and normally that is where the story, insight, and knowledge are at, much more then a single local reporter's agenda or viewpoint on a topic IMO....
