This guy had 9 sacks as a DE last year? Never heard of him but I can't believe he's not more talked-up as a FA. We was in for a vist today. We could totally use a 9 sack guy opposite Wake. Any thoughts on this guy? Hope we sign him as long as it's a reasonable deal.

15 sacks for his entire NFL carreer of 4 seasons. Might be a late bloomer like Wake. Certainly worth taking a close look at.

seems kinda like a one year wonder, like the 2 LBs we signed. We are really rolling the dice this offseason. That's what happens when you have a desperate GM with 1 year to prove himself and lots of cap space
Notice how everyone he signed has tiny cap hits this year which blow up next year? Seems like a guy playing for a contract extension who will deal with next season when it happens (or won't be around to clean up the mess)

He had 48 QB hurries, 3rd best among 4-3 DE. He ranked 7th overall as a 4-3. He ranked 6th best against the run. He was terrific in 2012. Brother of Martellus. Played for Mike Sherman in college.

but how about his prior seasons? is he a 1 year wonder guy?

Would a desperate GM with one year to prove himself cut Dansby and Burnett? The LB moves were made with the long term future in mind, not desperation for 2013.

We have tons of cap room in 2014 to absorb cap hits next year. And I believe we had the lowest amount of $ committed to 2015 of any team in the league, before these last two days. Notice how the new deals have almost no guaranteed money after 2015?

I like our one MLB signing, not sure of the other dude.

The Seahawks are collecting pass rushers.....Cliff Avril, Michael Bennett, Chris Clemons and Bruce Irvin.
