Meyers (6'4 250, 27 yrs old) had a lot of yards last year on a team who had no WR's but he carried a -14.6 rating by PFF. I don't understand why he is rated so low. He had one break out year (79/806/4) after doing nothing for the previous 3. He ran a 4.73 40.
Keller (6'2 240) is coming off injury and is one year older (28). He used to gouge us twice a year so we know what he can do consistently. He ran a 4.53 40. He had 4 good years before getting injured last year. In 2011 he had 65/815/5. He had a -.6 rating but had a bad year. I would assume normally he is rated pretty high.
I would lean toward Keller. Maybe he can coach up Clay on how to play the position. They are the same size.

His blocking grade was over -20, ranking as the worst run blocking TE that they graded. That's what knocked his overall grade down so much.
In six career games against Miami, Keller has 28 catches for 328 yards and four touchdowns. I think he'd be a pretty nice weapon for Tanny Boy to have in his toy box.
Adding this guy in addition to who we already have can't make things much easier for our young QB. I'd much rather have this dude playing with us instead of against us.
I'm not doing backflips over the possibility of adding Keller to the roster.
He IS soft. Zero as a blocker. Don't we already have a rookie TE just like that? So Keller can catch and periodically get open. He's NOT a legit all-around football player and that's the base line for a TE -- in my opinion. But hey -- the vaginal footie ball league is all about throwing the pink pig all around...
If you want to really prove your toughness, sit behind your computer on a discussion forum and call out a guy who has made a living in the middle of an NFL field.
because every one of these guys is bigger and faster than me, I can't critize them for not being big or fast enough for the nfl? Since everyone on this chat board isn't an nfl-quality athelete, it would make for a pretty boring nfl discussion forum if that's the rule

...incorrigible. I'm telling ya -- this latest episode at the Stanford WalMart (in cashmere underwear no less) has got to be the last straw pole! I mean who could elect him RT at this point -- let alone a serious contender for "stand your ground" and protect the coitusback like some teenage babe squats on it!
I see what you mean. Dammit!
