You trade down when you value quantity over quality or the guy you value the most who is on the board can be had for cheaper.... At this point I want quality over quantity, I would rather give up a 2nd rd pick to get in the top 5 or so, to grab the bluechip CB then trade back to get value...

right, we need quality not quantity. problem is the quality doesn't seem so great at 12, except for a few folks who may or may not make it to that pick. I'd be happy to take austin at say, 16, and pick up a 3d rounder, but I doubt that happens.
what about trading UP for Milner?

I would trade one of our 2nd rd picks to grab Millner, in a flash.... Not even a question at this point with the shape of our roster...The only question, is Millner really that good or a product of the Alabama system.. I watched alot of Alabama, and Millner was good but he didn't jump off the field at me as a top 5 pick, like say UF's Joe Haden did a few years back or LSU's Patrick Peterson, Morris Claireborne...
If he is on those players level, then it is a no brainer to trade up with the amount of picks we have and rookie wage scale these days...
