Man....Hard to follow it all...........
My head is still spinning some. Wont even try to recap it all but here is what he ended up with:
1 (13) (from Philadelphia) Laremy Tunsil, OT, Ole Miss
2 (38) Xavien Howard, CB, Baylor
3 (73) Kenyan Drake, RB, Alabama
3 (86) Leonte Carroo, WR, Rutgers
6 (186) (from Miami via Minnesota) Jakeem Grant, WR, Texas Tech
6 (204) Jordan Lucas, S, Penn State
7 (223) Brandon Doughty, QB, Western Kentucky
7 (231) Thomas Duarte, WR, UCLA
The more I think about it , the more I love our first rounder. Oline was our #1 position of need and I think we got outstanding value at #13. BUT.....no one else?
2 wide receivers? really? If everyone is back healthy and stays that way we are still going to need quality depth on the Oline. We have none IMO. I really hope we get lucky in the UFA with a lineman.
We got a CB in the draft and one from the Eagles , I hope we can get another option. Keynan Drake? He's not derrick Henry but He looks solid. It was a position of need so I'm good with it for now.
We hit all our positions of need , the main ones being O line, CB, and RB. I'm just not comfortable with the depth. We are still one injury short of disaster on the Oline.
The QB was a reach IMO but Moore wont be around forever so its good that we got some back up material.
I really hope we score some Oline depth somewhere .
We gave up some of next yrs picks too (not sure which ones?) That I really dont like. Its like borrowing from Peter to pay Paul.
Leonte Carroo. very interesting . Another one that fell a bit because of domestic violence concerns. He might be a steal.
All in all, I think we could have waited and still got some of the players we jumped around for, but only time will tell if they can play at this level or not. Most holes were filled. Just hate that we are starting off next yr down already. Oh well.
GO DOLPHINS!!!!
