Rumors are circulating that Sean Smith is on the trading block in Kansas City, and that Miami may have interest in bringing the 6 foot 3 DB back to South Beach. Talks have him costing any team a 6th or possible 5th rounder. Thoughts from you guys? We do need more depth in our backfield and our current DB squad are basically midgets.

He would count roughly two mill against this years cap, and is in the last year of contract.

Saw that yesterday in the news.

Yesterday was a different thought.

why would you want him today? So that they will play great defense but the wet firecracker cant score no points?

Season is over.

28 isn't exactly a spring chicken for a corner back. Good player though. But honestly after watching that game last night IDK WHY we would be concentrating on the defensive side of the ball. 15 yards rushing...against the 26th ranked rushing D(NFL.com), 64.7 QB Rating against the 18th ranked pass D(NFL.com), 2 int's, 2 trips to the red zone, 7 pts...Our offense sucks, it just does.

Exactly right. The defense is not the problem. Its the offense...

As a matter of fact the miami defense held the pats offense to low scoring game throughout the first 3 quarters....

But when you have your qb throwing ints at his own 20 yard line, it takes a toll on the defense.

The defense gets tired.

BTW iam tired of us winning the toss at the beginning of the game and defering and giving them the ball on offense to start the game.

When are they going to learn it never worked so far this season.

Maybe this would have been possibility if Miami won last night. I wouldn't rent a player in what likely isn't going to be playoff year.

Bring him to South Beach, but don't bring him to Davie or Lake Lucerne.

Smith is a good corner, hands of stone but a quality starter. If the money is there to extend his contract I would sign him.

Don't get me wrong, our offense sucked-a$$ last night, but don't think the D wasn't part of the problem.
Gave up a 3rd and 16 on the opening drive, on a screen pass...
Jumping offsides...bad tackling...terrible coverage(LBs/DBs)...a minimal pass rush v a "patch-work" oline...gave up too many 3rd and longs...and Rashad Jones is way over-rated.

Even the special teams share in the blame. Coverage teams were especially bad...our K shanked a possible 3 pts...and I think Landry had more negative return yds than positive.

Definite work to do all around.

We didn't beat the pats so screw trying to improve and just quit the season at 3-4. Sorry, but that's just plain dumb and pathetic. You can point to whatever statistic or trivial fact you want, but a real man doesn't just lay down when things dont go your way.
