I don't think there is any doubt that Ray Lewis knows what happened. And he was wearing a white suit that night, which "disappeared".

When I listen to Ray Lewis talk about Jesus, what it sounds like to me is that he is talking about himself. Looking at his body language, and tone and such, he really is only interested in drawing attention to himself. And what he is saying really isn't that reflective or insightful, it just seems like a bunch of marketing BS. To me, Ray Lewis is just wrapping himself in religion, so that people in the press overlook or become afraid to defining him by the murder incident.

This is just my interpretation. But I have relatives who are preachers, and very good people, and when they talk about God, they have a much different attitude. They seem genuine.

I never really cared much about Ray Lewis, but always admired his football. But with the way he's been acting lately, it seems as though he is awfully concerned about his legacy.

One more thing. If the Lewis is truly repentent over this incident and has suddenly "found god", then he needs come clean and accept the consequences.

He won't accept those consequences. Instead, he is running around, screaming about Jesus crying about what he "overcame" to get a football game. To me, that is all just a cop out.

The more I think about it, the more I think that Ray Lewis is just a phony. Yea, I'm rooting for the Niners now, just to put a golden shower on Ray Lewis' exit from the NFL.

You could be right. Like I said.

However, legally there is no way for him now to "accept the consequences" because he has already pled guilty to certain conduct, making a false police report, in the offense.

Not only does double jeopardy prohibit the prosecution from trying him but even if he wanted to be tried, he might not be able to be tried on anything involving that offense.

Now, the only way he could be tried would be if he admitted that he actually did the killings himself as opposed to just lying about it or egging on the killers.

But even egging on the killers was part of the original indictment from what I understand and if it was part of the indictment and he went to court on it, jeopardy had attached.

Then, it might still be a novel question of law.

Lights out in the Super Bowl. About 3 prior predictions that it will be back on in 15 minutes so about 45 minutes.

San Francisco has only shown the real Colin Kaepernick on the very first play. Since then, they have only had him in the pocket. He's not a pocket passer.

Also, Niners have a lousy secondary when a basically B+ QB like Flacco can light them up.

I see your reasoning Cheryn but the rules were already set and everyone had the chance to adjust their selection according to those rules.
The way it played out was, as follows:

Actual Score:
Ravens 34- 49ers 31

Predictions:49ers
Dolfanking
31-27 Point differential: 7
Montequi
27-24 Point differential: 14
Cheryn
20-14 Point differential: 31

You can also analyze it by just looking at 49ers point total in which case Dolfanking nailed it perfectly.
Montequi was -4
and you were -11

or even just Raven point totals in which case
DK was -7
Montequi was -10
and you were -20

So bottomline in 3 of 4 cases the winner was DolfanKing.

Congrats to DolfanKing. I did NOT expect such a high scoring game. I have a feeling Goodell planned that power outage just so the 49er's could recharge and make it a closer game.

It nearly came down to the last play of the game. If San Francisco has pulled it out, I would have gloated. But they didn't. So I'll still gloat because I'm still bitter about 1984 and its nice to see those rat bastards finally lose the big one.

As for ChyrenB's comment, all I got to say is sour grapes. This game went nearly exactly as I predicted... except I kind of thought the 49ers would have shown up before the power outage.

I did take the over, and I did take the Ravens with points last week, so I had a good Super Bowl spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

But DK, it's simple. I had the 9ers by 6. You had them by 4. Montequi had them by 3. That makes him closer to a Ravens win.

Toko is a gambler and is an expert on the intricacies of gambling and was of course using his own measure which he is perfectly entitled to do because it was his contest.

I was just saying that from the point of view of who came closest to the final result, Montequi won.

You can call it sour grapes or babbling or whatever but that's it.
