In a normal year, people would be raving about Tannehill's performance as a rookie. Luck, RG3, and Wilson just overwhelmed him. But, they all had more weapons to work with. There is nothing wrong with Tannehill's 13 INTs. It just looks bad because there were only 12 TD passes. But, that's as much a lack of weapons as it is on him.

Or like Welker maybe, just maybe, we should not have let them go in the first place.

Some Dolphins fans are.

At this point in time, they are better players.

This is a complete rationalization.

Have you seen Wilson or RG3s game? They both play the position in a way that makes the rest of the team just better. Defenses clearly fear both the arm and the feet of those two.

And Luck? When I watch the Colts I often forget that I'm not watching Peyton Manning.

Sorry, but at this time, those three are just plain better QBs. Not that there is any shame in that. If we had a decent team... that is, if this were the 2001 Phins and next year were the 2002 team, then Tannehill would be a SB QB, but Tannehill isn't doing for this team what those three have done for theirs.

Tannehill may prove to be better in the future, but not for now he is 4th on that list.

Oh gosh....

Dolphin fans need to be realistic here. Tannehill's numbers are not good. Not all all. Trying to rationalize that away as the team's problem is wrong. Really, for this year, Tannehill is the 4th best QB picked.

A much more accurate representation is that Tannehill made a lot of rookie mistakes. For instance, just yesterday he had a chance for a TD pass to Fasano, who had 2 steps on an LB going into the end zone, and Tannehill just flat overthrew him. This sort of thing has happened a few times this year.... and Tannehill just has to put more air under the ball.

The other three QBs seems to understand this sort of thing. All three make their teammates better. I'm beginning to think this has more to do with RTs lack of experience, because RT is obviously seeing the field well and making the right choice. RT has good deep accuracy at times, and can put the ball in a small window. But that pass needed touch, which I'm still not sure he has completely learned yet.

Miami Dolphins. Always Perfect.

I think Tannehill and Martin are alike. They show great promise and although there are some flaws this year, next year they both should be awesome.

They need to be given tools in the upcoming draft.

No, I don't want to rely on free agency again unless its for a player that all the other teams in the NFL are also bidding on and I don't see anyone like that now.

Maybe someone can post the free agency list.

Yeah, I know Cap and in another thread "Ole Oklahoma Politician" I had the Jets beating the Bills as being vital to our picking order.

As it turns out, I was wrong.

Had the Jets beaten the Bills the Jets would have been 7-9 instead of 6-10 (with the Bills being 5-11) but although we would have tied them at 7-9, We had a higher Strength of Schedule and thus would have lost to them in draft order anyway.

As such, since we lost to NE, every game that we wanted to go our way for a higher draft choice turned out that way.......I think.

Awesome? Not gonna go that far with either RT nor Wilson. Wilson could hit that sophmore wall and RT....I just hope RT improves his game; brings it up to another level.

RT can do that on his own, but as far as leading his team to more victories, he needs help to do so. To help bring RT's play up, that big time WR is a no-brainer. Then he needs at least one more stud OLman. I think the running backs that are presently there can do the job, but they also have to step up their game, and I don't care how close Bush got to 1,000 yards. That doesn't mean much if he can't play at a consistent level. Again, what is his and the other running backs' average per carry?

The D needs help in the secondary and one beast of a pass rusher to help Wake. This defense improves and that will also help RT as the offense won't have to do as much to win the game.

FA is tough, and I am looking at it not from the stand point of money, although that will naturally come into play, but of what they can do for the Fins. Pay big money for Bowe. Can his talents really help the Fins? If there is any ONE guy out there that I think would be worth the price, would be Wallace. He's got it all. However, I really think that if Miami went after him, there would be at least a half dozen other teams doing the same, and the price will go sky high.

What Ireland would have to do in Wallace's case is decide whether or not Wallace is that one missing piece that could get this team over the hump and go ahead and pay the big bucks. My opinion? I don't think so. For his asking price, Ireland could (probably) get two other starters in other positions.

Woops!

Boy, I guess that's what happens when something is read too quickly. <lol>

We can only hope that Martin makes great strides next year. I believe Miami has a pretty good OLine coach and he will have the whole off season to work with him.

Martin has all the intangibles, so it will come down to good teaching and Martin listening.

As far as Wilson goes....yes, he has done a terrific job this year. However, that sophomore wall is always there (i.e., Jim Plunkett), and along with that, his size could hinder him. Teams will have had a season to figure him out and could put in defenses to combat him. He may have to run around more to get those lanes, but with defensive coaches now knowing how he plays, he could be shut down.

I respect what Wilson has done, thus far, and congrats to him. But next year will be a major challenge for him.

LOL. Who are you talking about, DolfanKing? The way you quoted Treasure, it was like Treasure was saying that you could be a Jets fan and you answered "No, I am a 'troll. Always have been, always will" be.

I'm not sure you wanted it to come out that way but I am sure Treasure is getting kicks out of it. LOL.

I really don't care what Treasure thinks. He is a troll.

But I clarified it for you.
