Today might have been the best practice I've ever seen from Ryan Tannehill. He was sharp. Threw a deep ball. And killed it in the red zone.
Lol. Everyone will be jumping on the Ryan Tannehill train soon enough. Ryan will bring home the Lombardi trophy to Miami. I saw greatness in him from his first game. GO Dolphins! !
Ryan Tannehill has shown so much improvement this camp. He is more consistent, he's stepping up as a leader, and he's connecting on more deep balls. I think he's finally ready to challenge to become a tier one QB.

Like I said, he can be one of the greatest if they just take him out of the pocket, where he is uncomfortable, and let his play more imitate Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick. I haven't seen the scrimmages and I'd have to see his play and thus whether Philbin has done that or whether he has just become a better pocket player over the off-season. Either way, they've changed his scheme or he has learned to be better in the pocket, I'm happy.

LOL. The pocket that most of you imagined he was in last year and whose NONEXISTENCE resulted in so many sacks because it did not exist................duhhhhhh.......that's why I constantly suggested that his style of play become similar to a Russell Wilson or a Colin Kaepernick and that his plays be designed to not rely on what ended up being a non existence pocket. LOL. JSM08 and dolphaholic are probably hating on you saying "Why would he give this ahole a chance to RE-preach another one of his annoying sermons???? He's already gone back to beating the dead horse on Philbin and now you're giving him another chance to rant about Tannehill not being a natural pocket quarterback and that Philbin should shift to more of a read option scheme."

I stopped following Omar the day he disparaged Dan Marino. so I don't care what he says anymore. Now the stats do show that Tannehill is primed for another step up this year. Let's see if this translates in live games.
RT should be running on occasion; we saw how effective he could be on those "read-and-react" plays. Just don't run him too often.
What could help on those days when his pocket keeps breaking down is a roll out. RT is good on the run and has a very high percentage of completions when he does. Marino used to roll out on occasion and was usually successful.
Pocket passer yes, but get him on the run once in a while.
