Weird that they cut him before camp even starts.. You would think they would want his arm in camp at the very least.. I am guessing something happened that we don't know about that led to his release...

I was thinking they may have their eye on another QB....or that he just wasn't learning the playbook, not dedicated to it OR both. What a fall from grace. After his first few years I thought he was going to be a good QB. 27/17 and 25/6 3500 and 4k yards....all the different coaches. I was rooting for him to turn it around. Pretty surprising cut this early.

Maybe they want the 3rd guy (Bethel-Thompson) to get more snaps???

They saw enough decided he wasn't going to challenge for the second string job let him go. Has enough time to help himself to get another gig. Seemed to do everything right when he was here . I wish the kid the best.

We're gonna need another arm in camp. Odd timing.
