Bottom line:

- Completions takes a thrower and a catcher, we've been without the thrower for quite a while, spare a few bright moments

- You see teams really take off with prolific offensive combinations when you have both the throwers and catchers able to work together for a few years (NE - Brady / Welker ...etc)

- Hopefully we see Tannehill and Hartline together for a while and add in some more weapons including those who can get some separation

A knock on Hartline has been his lack of TD's scored.

He has 1002/1

Take a look at some other top WR's....

Wes Welker 1172/4
Reggie Wayne 1234/4

Andre Johnson has 4 TD's and Calvin Johnson only has 5.

Larry Fitgerald has 674/4 (bad year for him)

It was Flynn or Tanneyhill, not both. Correct, in that if Miami signed Manning, that it is a very strong possibility that Ireland would have gone after Tanneyhill.

What would have really been interesting, and there's just no way to know without asking Ireland directly, but what would they have done if Cleveland had taken Tannehill at #4?

At that point, you've passed on all the free agent QB's so its draft one or go into this season with Matt Moore and Pat Devlin...which quite possibly would have gotten Ireland fired.

So let's say Tannehill is gone at #8 and Wheedon (who probably is a bad fit for our offense) doesn't make it out of the first round.

So let's say we took Luke Keuchly at #8...when do we address QB and who would it have been?

I seem to recall in all the pre-draft hype that we were supposedly high on Cousins and Wilson for the west coast offense but that could have been pre-draft hype or I could be mistaken.

Well we probably would be screwed. Glad we don't have to worry about that.

I think you are right eesti.

I doubt we'd have taken Wilson at the top of round 2. He had a 4th/5th round grade.

I guess it would have been Brock Osweiler or Cousins in round 3.

Would anybody feel better about our QB situation today (other than DolphinKing, Crowder and Dolphin) if Moore were starting, we were 7-7 or 8-6 and Cousins/Osweiler was our QB of the future?

I wouldn't.
